I literally just put my '07 back together! I neglected it for the past 4 years. The poor motorcycle. Got it running again yesterday, but I unfortunately lost the nut that goes on the front sprocket. Should be ride able next week though!
Nice! They're great bikes. Be safe out there 👍🏼
Super looking bike. For sitting for 7 years for sure. Love the gray with the aluminum. Sounds like a nice road tripper. Look forward to seeing the repairs on this one and then some road miles. Be safe and stay well.
Thanks. There were two colors available for this year. My silver bike had black wheels and there was a blue option with these silver wheels. I traded a guy my blacks for his silvers. I think it looks better this way. I had totally forgotten until you mentioned the color lol. I did that in 05 when it was new.
Good tip on backing the screws out until they drop.
It's always helped save my plastics 👍🏼
I have an 05 that and was kinda neglected, but rn runs beautiful. I got it back up to shape and it has 74000 miles
Wow!!! Nice mileage! I love those old FZ6's.
06:46 Haha got the mosquito but at cost of the bolt, probably found it back anyways. Thanks for the vid!
I found the bolt :) I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
18:46 that start is quick. Unit is under a good roof.
Thanks. I've always tried to take good care of it. 👍🏼
😂 nice, my 2007 FZ6 still sits in the garage since 2009…
Currently contemplating a restoration if within reason at the original dealership Ive bought it from
Great bikes!!
@@HFG it was just like in your case, I just put her on the side stand. Life changed back then, went through hardship and hadn’t time to ride anymore. No winterizing or anything as well.
All fluids and rubber lines will have to be replaced now as well as chain and so forth.
Have a great day over the big drink over there and enjoy your machine when she runs again.
Hopping into bed now, late here in Europe.
Ride safely
18k mileage. Wow. That's a keeper.
You can use plast-aid to fix those plastics from the backside
Hmm. I'll have to check into that stuff. I haven't heard of it before. Thanks for the tip 👍🏼
I've done 35K on my FZ6 and it passed it's UK MOT yesterday so another year of hooliganism
In my area we have 93 but it has ethanol in it, i run 91 non oxy or no ethonal
Non-ethanol is tough to find around here. I find that ethanol fuel is ok as long as it doesn't sit for long.
@3:17 what happened to your jacket?!?!
I don't even remember. It's super old and was used when a buddy gave it to me while off-roading years ago.
Wat exhaust is that
Laser quad.
100 bucks for a K&N filter, when you don't have a tune and don't race, doesn't make any sense...
It is fine. The K&N isn't going to need a tune. And it is reusable. The factory air filter is just as open.
@@IndependantMind168 I know you don't need a tune with that filter. But if you don't tune or race your bike putting a K&N filter does not give you any advantage! It's just gone cost you money, with 100 bucks you can buy 5 new original ones, that will last you a lifetime, and you don't have to take risks or work, cleaning and oiling the K&N filter.
I Have an 03 honda cbr 600 rr that's been sitting since 07. I going to clean out my tank and sell it. My cats climb all over mine also. 😆
That's a cool bike. Cats seem to love the motorcycle jungle gym :)
