In the Anime for Demon Slayer Season 1 and 2, Shinobu always has a smile on her face, but she’s one of the characters filled with the MOST rage in her heart, as she hunts down Upper Moon 2 Doma, during the Infinity Castle arc of Demon Slayer after Demon Slayer Season 3. Shinobu realizes that this is the demon who ended older sister years ago, and attacks Doma while he talks about not being able to eat her because the sun was coming up, and over the course of the battle Shinobu shows her amazing speed off piercing Doma repeatedly with her poisoned blade, repeatedly trying to get the right mix that Doma can’t adapt to and overcome. Eventually when her poisons don’t work, Doma hits her with an attack that shreds her lungs apart, and after a last ditch attack, Doma hugs Shinobu and completely absorbs her into his body ending her life in the process, but later in the fight Doma begins to break apart, because apparently Shinobu had SO MUCH poison coursing through her own veins in preparation for this, that it finally managed to take down the Upper Moon, as we see Shinobu and her sister running into heaven, making this one of the saddest stories in Kimetsu no Yaiba as the Insect Hashira meets her end!

Doumas death was probably the most satisfying for know remembering the amount of revenge that went with his death between Shinobu avenging Kanae, Kanao avengi g both Shinobu and Kanae, and Inosuke avenging his mother. Felt good to see for me

Shinobu is the most under appreciated character in demon slayer like i have seen people trolling her for being small and weak completely ignoring the fact that she did 90% of the work killing douma and helped lady tamayo create poison for muzan also knew exactly what will happen with douma and instructed kanao about that . I just love her soo much ❤
She’s my favorite character, such a beautiful hashira. ❤️
Seriously underrated because she can’t do the flashy stuff other hashiras can. But for me that’s the best thing in her.
Flatly, Shinobu was never qualified to be a hashira. Why? She has weak arms and can’t behead demons. Under normal circumstances, she cannot even qualify as a demon slayer.
BUT girlie is so determined to be one that she created her own breathing style, studied demon physiology and created a poison that is lethal to them, making it easier for her to kill demons without beheading them. She had to have her katana modified to make her fighting style more effective, and mix the right dose of poison while in combat to make it more effective to the demon. She even honed her speed so much that she’s the 4th fastest hashira in running speed and canonically the fastest hashira in attack speed, able to land at least 7 stabs + poison injection in 1 second.
She did not only hone herself to be lethal to demons, she even basically made herself a doctor to ensure the survival and recovery of the corp members. She was very well versed in the medical field, able to concoct potent antidotes from very little information, reverse BDA effects, heal critically injured people back and rehab them. Not to mention, she helped Tamayo and Yushiro make the Anti-Muzan drug, and turn Nezuko and Tanjiro back to human. It is throughly surprising how she can keep up with Tamayo, who was alive centuries ago, and Yushiro, who was decades older than her.
She was a very strategic thinker too, as everything she planned about her fight with Douma went according to her plans.
All these at the age of 18 years old. Seriously, hat’s off to this lady 🎩🫡
Shinobu is the kind of person that likes working smarter, not harder, and this is a good mindset
They probably only care about brute strength and size, which is a very weak mindset to have. I personally love Gyomei as my favorite Hashira, but I can appreciate Shinobu's smart fighting style. I also believe that her and Lady Tamayo was the MVPs of the Infinity castle, without their poison the rest would've had to deal with Doma and Muzan at full power
And the fact that she's a medical/pharmaceutical genius? Which the other Hashira aren't. She's a strategist, a fighter and a healer all in one🛐???? I swear the people who don't like her are those 5 year olds who don't like girls, that's literally their only reason 💀
Shinobu has the saddest death cause she was absorbed totally. Nothing left to bury. Nothing but memories to mourn. I can't imagine the pain Kanao have felt by just knowing Shinobu intended to die in their fight.

So lets clear some things up for people in the comments:
⚠️SOILER ALERT ⚠️
The "poison" shinobu took was westeria which is poisonous to demons but not to humans. She gradually took a little bit a day until she took about 37kg of westeria which is about 81.571 pounds. The westeria poison was her back up plan if the battle was losing and told Kanao about it. The poison plan was not to kill him but to weaken him enough so Kanao (and Inosuke) could slice his head off (killing him) Hoped this cleared some things up! ❤

No one discredits her for losing the fight against Douma. She is CANONICALLY, Meaning confirmed in the story, the weakest hashira, it is a literal fact in demon slayer, nobody is discrediting her, they are just telling the truth
She is the weakest, but uses avant-garde strategies and her vast intelligence with deadly poisons to make up for that difference in physical strength. While she is still the “weakest” her final stand against douma was insanely smart and she deserves so much credit.

There is a difference between awakening your mark and gaining a huge power up and straight up getting eaten alive.
The poison was a backup plan, not the go to. Theoretically, any of the hashiras could have such poison in their bodies. But not any hashira could display each other's combat feats.
Shes not being discredited for anything. She is still seen as one of the smartest hashira. But if someone says she is one of the weaker hashiras in terms of combat, theyre not discrediteing theyre just stating the truth.
And you cant really discredit someone you cant credit much to begin with. In terms of combat prowess, what are her feats against uppermoons...?
Amongst the hashiras who died, she had one fight against an uppermoon and Doma was clearly playing.
muichiro displayed an insane feat against gyokko and unlocks red blade, died to kokushibo.
Mitsuri kept up with zohakuten and got good strikes in against Muzan before dying to him.
Gyomei displayed great feats against both Kokushibo AND muzan before dying to the latter, and was hinted that he could have been still saved with medical treatment but he refused.
Obanai displayed great feats against muzan even when he was UNMARKED before dying to him.
Rengoku was being toyed with by Akaza, but almost cut his head and trap him in sunlight.
Yeah she's amazing.
She was preparing for battle since many years. She always knew that she will be never survive the battle so she made this plan that included her being eaten and taking down demon with herself😐.
Shinobu knew the first step of revenge: dig two graves, for your enemy and yourself. She knew what her revenge would entail, that her desired battle would be a one-way trip with no chance of coming back alive. But she also knew that this demon was cunning and has always been able to evade and escape karma and death. And death & karma are two cruel mistresses who DESPISE being cheated by those who THINK they’re above them. Shinobu knew that if she was going to kill this chucklefuck, she’d have to use an EXTREME solution: the “nuclear option”. She knew that she’d die in the process, but it was also the ONLY contingency she had that not only had the greatest chance of success, but also something that he didn’t know she had, and in his arrogance, let his guard down. The moment he absorbed her, he had sealed his own fate, dying not only a slow, painful, and horrible death…but dying and being dragged to Hell…ALONE. While Shinobu…finds peace in heaven with her sister.
This is why I she’s my FAVORITE character.

The reason why Rengoku and Tengen looks like the weakest Hashira was because they didnt have really strong grudge on Demon on their life (and they still have family to come home home to). While others has experienced troubled with Demon and they all want revenge with their training of physical power.
But its different with Shinobu. She has the most grudge and rage with Demon (out of all hashira's), she want to nuke Demon from their insides with her swallowing poisons everyday.
I agree for the most part but I think Sanemi has the biggest grudge. Shinobu only lost her sister but Sanemi lost his family except Genya. And he was forced to kill his mother.
Actually, because of the anger Shinobu fought recklessly, she wasn’t as careful as she usually is, that’s why she was taking damage over the course of the battle. She could’ve taken less hits if she was calm and collected but her anger pushed her to fight without trying to defend herself.
I love that canonically Shinobu is the weakest hashira but is able to take out the second ranked upper moon( granted not ranked for strength but for Muzan's favor but still)
I would still count Doma as the fourth strongest demon

It’s because she isn’t one of the weakest with them all in base she’s probably one of the stronger hashira I mean being able to get hits on doma in the first place alone is a feat in itself

Once her wisteria poison becomes ineffective at the doses her sword can deliver, Shinobu is effectively the weakest Hashira by a substantial margin since this is not an issue for any of the other Hashiras, at least to the extent it is for Shinobu. Or in essence, Shinobu doesn’t scale well enemy defenses.
To give Shinobu credit, she seems to be among the best choices for a duo battle similar to the one against Upoer Moon 1. We see how wisteria poison can work on Daki and Gyutaro. She is also the greatest medical expert among the demon slayer corps.

What if you got a strong Hashira, but the demon is to fast to even get a single hit in?
What if you got a really durable hashira, that gets poisoned and obliterated?
What if the Demon has a super strong neck and the Hashira just can't cut it?

Why doesn't every demon slayer have a poisoned blade ? The flower very common just refine into a liquid and give it out to every demon slayer so they can tip their blades with poison even if they miss the killing blow the poison will slow the demon down would save a lot of lives
Shinobu uses extremely complex poisons it’s not just wisteria flower so it’s be a waste of resources considering most demon slayers die and that would give the demons time to learn about it and adapt beyond it, so the smartest option is just to have Shinobu be the creator and user of her Demon Poisons
The poison needs to be expertly mixed inside of the katana sheath in a unique way for each demon. Shinobu is the only one smart enough to use it to its full potential

Most of us do not know how to manufacture Acetaminophen, yet that has not stop Tylenol from being an over the counter medication that most anyone can take. You likely do not know how the various components in computer work or how those components are made, yet you still use a computer.
If the Wisteria flower is this common, then I have to ask why is not it given to more slayers? Or rather, why have not other slayers asked for it? If a slayer asked for some, would they actually be refused?

She wasn’t able to awaken her mark because one of the prerequisites of awakening it is you need to be able to raise your temperature to 39°C consistently, which is impossible since Douma’s BDA is cyrokinesis and literally made the whole place a freezer that according to Shinobu, makes the air hard to breathe since they had to avoid the overly freezing breeze or it will freeze and burst their lungs.

In real life, immunity to poison can be achieved by normal human by eating poison in small amounts and gradually increasing it. The real life example is Mithridates VI. So yes, it is possible even in real world logic
@@XainArchives dawg, it's an anime, with demons with magical powers, I wouldn't know. Plus I think she just took very small doses at first and steadily took more and more over time. There's also a thing called Mithridatism, where people take non lethal doses of poison slowly becoming immune over time. Might be true idk

Shinobu had been putting small amounts of the wisteria poison into her body for at least a year, she told Kanao she would have to die and that while the poison may work, it’s best to be safe then sorry and she asked Kanao to behead him. Douma never realized there was so much poison in shinobu or himself because shinobu had worked with lady tamayo and yushiro to conceal it.
