Just the wheel, but it's a heck of an upgrade :D. Still getting used to the Hyper P1, I like the screen a lot more than I thought I would. Been really messing with the LEDs trying to get them right
Hi Charlie. Thanks for the great videos. If i may ask. how do you capture your triple screen in the top half of screen like that? in OBS? Looks really nice and better than just capturing the middle screen. Appreciate any advice. And do you use a dual PC stream setup? thanks. Kyle
Hey Kyle! I just use a single PC, the overhead video is captured later and cut in. For the triple screens I just record all 3 screens but only show portions of the left and right monitor. I liked the extra FOV it gave without being excessive. The same can be achieved by recording the first person view with a wider FOV and cutting it in later, without the black bars :D
Thanks for the reply@@CharlieSearsRacing ! would it be correct to assume then that you are not running your triples in surround, so you can record the 3 monitors separately in obs and crop the side monitors to look like you have it here?
That's correct. I do not use surround. You could record the single "monitor" in surround if you wanted. There is a setting that draws the extra pixels if I'm not mistaken (though you get some weird banding because of the different camera angles). I personally don't mind the black bars on the video but I'm still playing around with alternatives since it's not only my decision haha
@CharlieSearsRacing ok cool. I'm still using surround. I'm so nervous to change my settings as my tripples are working pretty well. I must say, I like the black bars in your vid. It looks like a gro pro/pov style. Very cool!
@@kyleshepherdmusic I use my rig for other games so I was constantly switching between surround and non-surround. It got annoying as heck. I eventually just went with non-surround. My center monitor is my primary monitor. I run iRacing in windowed-borderless mode and the top left corner is at 0, -2560 or whatever the negative of a 1440p screen is lol. I'd propose giving it a try, but like you mentioned, you may have to mess with surround. If you do mess with it I'd highly recommend taking notes (or screenshots) of your current surround and iRacing configuration in the case you have to go back. Nothing is worse than fiddling with hardware just to get back on track
Great stuff. Would love a walk through of your rig
Could do! It's been a minute and it's definitely evolved over the years
Hadn't given this car a lot of thought, but it looks a ton of fun for people who can handle formula cars!
It's a ton of fun, I really enjoyed it. I definitely need to find more speed but I'm happy about this first race all things considered.
Really like how you talk us through your decision making. Giving me lots of tips for my future races!
Hope they help! My decisions aren't always ideal, but they work out more often than not haha.
I second this comment, I usually click away but the commentary has gotten me hooked. At minute 13 right now and will watch the whole thing. Great job!
Fantastic video. Super glad I found this channel.
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it
nice to see a new upload, looks like a few upgrades to the setup since the last video.
