    I love this tent

Just got the kingdom 6 2020 model for my birthday with the Mud Room - once called the garage. Tent held up in high winds and a lightning storm. The mud room was amazing to cook in and keep things dry. Definitely will enjoy this tent for car camping. My wife and I love it and we would recommend it to anyone.

I've had a kingdom 6 for 3 years now and I truly enjoy it for car camping with the grandkids it's a very functional tent we camped on the beach during some heavy winds and rain and the 10 held up fine we stayed dry

Thanks for the uploads. I am trying to decide between the Big Agnes Big House 6 Deluxe and the REI Kingdom 6

I like a lot of the Big Agnes tents (I have a Copper Spur) but I looked at that one and decided against it because I felt like I was going to be fiddling with the rain fly all the time. Either having to leave it on or off and no in between (at least that’s what it looked like to me online, I definitely haven’t been in one). But it looks like it has tons of pockets, vestibule option and all that stuff. And Big Agnes has a great reputation. Let me know what you decide.

The rain fly is installed backwards in this video right? Vestibule should be on mesh side no? The mud room can only go on non-vestibule side right?

is there enough height in the garage where you wouldn't worry about heat damaging the tent? ive seen a few pictures of people with stoves in there but you were the first to actually mention cooking in the garage.
    Thanks.

In my opinion yes. I wouldn't cook against the back side where it is sloping down, I would worry about heat there. But for my use case, which is basically just if it's pouring rain, I think it's perfectly fine. I mean I don't think I would run an open charcoal grill or anything, but simmering some soup or grilling some burgers on a flat top seems perfectly fine to me. Especially if you have a table that can lower like I do (just a cheapy from Target). I luckily haven't had to do it yet, knock on wood we've had great luck with weather the last few times we've gone, but it is my plan if rain forces us in. I will let you know if I burn my tent down...

Trying to decide between the flash 3 or the rei kingdom 4. Any thoughts between the 2 ?

Oh man, that's hard. They're completely different. Really depends on what you value most, the interior space (and standing room) or the integrated rain fly and breathablity. For me personally, the Kingdom 4 was out because it's designed slightly (but importantly) different than the 6. The mesh room up front is replaced with one that's only mesh up top. That was different enough for me to go for the 6 (but I live in Texas and every bit of breeze on a 90 degree day helps).

I'm considering this one. How is it in the rain? Does it stay dry? Also saw some reviews that said the materials were cheap and it tore easily. Any truth to that?

I have a flash tent based on your recommendation and love it. It’s the 2p but still a fantastic design. I wish they made a 4p version. I’m looking at the rei kingdom 4p. Just wanted to see what your thoughts on the kingdom tent for a base camp tent?

Completely agree with you on the Flash 4. The day they introduce something like that is the day I own a new tent! As far as the Kingdom, so far I really enjoy it. My only problem with the 4 person is it's designed differently than the 6 person. The large mesh room goes away and it's just mesh at the top. I haven't used it, so I'm not going to knock it, but that seems like it would cut a ton of the breathability that the 6 has. Let me know if you get the 4 and what you think.

Can a queen size blowup mattress fit in EACH Room (total of 2 mattresses) of the Kingdom 6? If so, will the divider wall still shut closed?

I wish I could tell you for sure. I was going to say no but then I looked up the dimensions of a queen air mattress and the floor and it looks like will fit “exactly”. Next time I get it set up I’ll throw some mattresses in there and see what it looks like. Sorry I can’t answer. Thanks for watching.
