    For the modern Indian, who is highly interested in what goes into the makings of his/ her vehicles, this kind of video, explained in simple language, by a real solid expert such as Mr Velusamy, is such a great pleasure to view and learn from. Thanks Sid for bringing this interesting and important information to us. I am a happy customer of Mahindra vehicles for many many years and still remain one, with the new Thar. And I feel very reassured with all the thought, engineering, talent and effort that goes into the making of the new Mahindra vehicles.

      Absolutely. Today's youth will be more eager to know how their vehicles are built to add extra assurance when they are making purchase decisions. Imagine a millennial wanting to buy a car who typically does his/her research over here on RUclips finding such a detailed explanation of a car it'd surely be a deal breaker in terms of confidence to go with this car ! ✌🏻

      It's high time we need to support Indian brands by buying Indian owned products so that they generate more revenue for future proofing R & D and for further aquisitions on the lines of JLR,Norton, KTM, etc.
      Let our capital circulate within our country, avoid capital drain from our economy. Let Indian brands make more profit. There is no need to give our hard earned money as profit to japanese chinese Koreans Germans etc...
      Let's support our Indian brands to give them a level playing field against MNCs from developed economies.

    Thank you Mahindra for pioneering in this segment and creating new bench marks. I feel proud that an Indian car is pushing many segments all at once. This video helps me better understand about the internals and design of XUV 700. Transparency creates trust and that is exaclty Mahindra is doing. While competetors are creating colorful ads and social media campaigns to promote their vehicle, Mahindra stands out in showcasing their growth and innovation in this segment. I loved how Siddharth was interviewing Velusamy and this is one gem of a interview.

Great to see an indian manufacturer achieving that top build quality, safety, entertainment and every other thing in a harmony as Velu said. Let's buy indian. I'm gonna buy this master. Suzuki's, Honda's, Hyundai's. . . Learn from Indian.

    It fills my heart with immeasurable joy to see two homegrown Indian manufacturers going toe to toe to make safer cars. First with the Nexon and XUV 300 and now with Harrier and XUV 700. The ultimate winner is the consumer. For the first time in our automobile history, the top two SUVs (in terms of safety and riding dynamics) in two different segments will be from two Indian Manufacturers. And good luck to those for their life still buying tin can ka dabba for mileage. Kudos to the Mahindra team for making such a beast of an SUV. And also to Sid sir, always at the forefront to showcase the safety aspect of Cars. He was the first one who showed how Nexon got 5 stars. Keep making such a gem of video CNB team. Brilliant! Mahindra doing it, not only structurally strong vehicle, but the small things that makes your car last longer. The technical work gone into making this car, be in the engine suspension electronics is just mind-blowing. And the explanation by Mr. Velusamy is really good. This only goes to show that India can make good products at reasonable prices, but we just love charging premium for something that should be a given. The Safari with no bells and whistles bloody cost more than this. I understand the cost of materials have gone up ...but not that up that you start charging premium for everything that is supposed to be there in the first place. Im no fan of Mahindra, but seeing that they're willing to go the extra mile for the customers safety and at a affordable price, is really commendable. Im not car reviewer, I will say it, the Manufacturer who shall not be names is Maruti. The audacity they have to charge the customers with sub par quality cars and also justifying that its safe by "their standard" is just appalling. Mahindra sells cars in Australia and Im sure they have the same built quality as the Indian ones, unlike Maruti Suzuki and Nissan and Kia to name a few. With this new approach, Maybe I will after all buy a Mahindra. The design is a bit loud though....just to add...not subtle like the Safari

    This is perhaps the right way of approach for a video that reviews an automobile. The science of designing and building a vehicle must be on the forefront than the 0-60/0-100 statistics, after all these are not meant to be driven on race tracks.
    Though it was all about the vehicle and it's engineering the finest ingredient in this video were those two humans, the guest was superfine and the host matched him with equal elegance. Even the tone and pitch of thier voice was so candid that it enhanced the viewing and listening experience.

      Great question. Here's the answer:
      Around the panoramic roof they have created a ring structure and this ring is again connected to individual rings. If you see it up close, you can see bulge around it. Hence it is very stiff

    1. Power train video. Can you plz cover this one tool. Power train with automatic gear technology in XUV700.
    2. Can a roof top carrier be mounted in XUV700 for carrying luggage. Since boot space is too small. Will panoramic sun roof will cause any prob in this.

    I checked dimensions of XUV-700 is 15 inch lengthier and 3.2 inch wider than seltos. So yeah I think it will fit..🤞. I value my money so yeah, I’ll take test drive of XUV-700 for sure..👊

    Lot of information from this video reinforced my decision to go for this car. My only dilemma comes from Government's recent news about E20 blended fuel going mainstream in 2 years. Is the mStallion engine (my choice) future proof in this regard ?

    • @shibiganesan
      @shibiganesan 3 года назад

      Every car being manufactured now in bs6 can run on ethanol blended fuel, that is the Govt. Guidelines and all manufacturers are following it

    • @thesatvikbahaley
      @thesatvikbahaley 3 года назад +1

      @@shibiganesan Yes, but most engines can tolerate upto 10-15 % blending, that too with certain disadvantages such as shortening of life of injectors. Now Govt. is saying 20-22 % blending. Also BS6 has nothing to do with Ethanol blending. Ethanol also creates other problems as it tends to absorb moisture, hence fuel stations require special storage once blending percentage increases. Had it been so easy we would not have imported crude oil and run every thing on pure Ethanol.

    • @thesatvikbahaley
      @thesatvikbahaley 3 года назад +1

      On side note, Ethanol, mostly comes from Sugar industry, which is already water intensive. Research has shown that Ethanol is harmful as its supply chain uses large amounts of water, degrades land and also that land can be used for other food crops. Can't summarise everything here, but Ethanol is not wise, only profitable for people who own Sugar Factories. Shift should be on carbon neutral fuels (whose making and distribution dont consume energy, and they don't emit GHGs). This is just going to make cars costlier to make (if not run also), which is a good thing if Govt. does not want more cars on road.

    • @carandbike
      @carandbike  3 года назад +1

      @@thesatvikbahaley Yes that would need a change in fuel lines. But 10-15% would not be a problem with existing mStallion setup

    A very detailed review of the safety and design aspects. I have already booked this car and its a major upgrade for me from swift to xuv700. Mr. Velu kept saying that the technology is next generation and all that but it deeply saddens me to say that this car lacks auto dimming irvm and this to me is a major setback and the car also lacks other features like ventilated seats, puddle lamps, sun protection. For a premium car worth 28lakhs these become a basic feature. I hope M&M comes up with a face lift including these features or at least with an option to upgrade with factory fittings.

    I guess, majority of the owners and prospective owners wouldn’t care or didn’t get much all such technical details on safety except for the fact that the car is fully crash proof with 5-star ratings; but it’s interesting to watch how Mahindra is marketing its product through a detailed structural building tour of the car. Hyundai did the same with a tour through its factory on how their car is build to promote safety standards on their car and impress customers. You know, safety is the mojo today and it sells.

      @@statusguruji3949 : I’m not pointing at whether same or similar materials were used in Hyundai cars or not. The point is that Hyundai too invited media to visit its manufacturing plant and promote/advertise safety in their cars. I think it’s more of a marketing strategy than real concern for safety. Tata never needed such marketing strategy. They have already established that their cars are well safe enough regardless of missing all the Hyundai-gimmicks and Mahindra-ADAS.
