- Okay, this is a total rush job. So many mistakes and bad cuts and music that don't fit the timeline, but I'm on a mission with a long list of things that must get done. My RUclips life is a secondary mission, so I'm sorry for that. Me being here is important for those of you who can't be here. This place, and this event, are instrumental in the photography world, so whatever I can share with you, no matter how crude, is valuable at least in my opinion.
The event has only just begun. There will be far more coverage of Paris Photo itself as well as the secondary book fairs which I am headed to today.
PS: Getting a few minutes to shoot in Paris was worth the trip regardless of result or actual time spent. Развлечения
👏👏👏👏
wow Blurb prints in Europe - sounds exciting and promising. I love your old school "google" streets walk :-)))
I knew I stayed up late for something.
Thanks
Nice reportage video, nice. I've walked this floor last May, "Un Monde Qui S'Illumine". I didn't know about this photography store, I would have liked to see it. I stumbled upon a Leica store that had an exhibition and I couldn't resist going in, Paul Cupido, I didn't know. I was happy to find out that Blurb prints in Europe, I have to do some research for the next book I make, I'm taking this photography book thing more and more seriously. Enjoy this city Dan, it's special.
Yes, we print there! I didn't make it to Leica but with all the shows and book fairs, and the fact I don't use their gear any longer...
@@DANIELMILNOR505 100v here. Leica of the poor. 🤓 Next book will be Blurb.
In addition to everything else... you have my FAVORITE track playing in the background! I listen to it endlessly at times.
Ha, that's funny.
Holy crap I am featured in your visual diary!! That means at least international fame 😊
You are a superstar. I owe you one!
Keep 'em comin', Dan! I'm living vicariously.
Enjoy Paris Daniel, wish I was there. Keep these coming, maybe I'll plan a trip for next year. Pip pip!
So exciting! I bet the energy there is incredible!!
Tell the folks at your Blurb booth I just made a Blurb book based on watching your channel. Congratulations, you are now officially an Influencer. (Have dinner at La Coupole on me).
Ha, that's hilarious, but thank you!
Outstanding, thank you!
🦋🕊🌹
Did two and a half hours at the Grand Palais today and will be back tomorrow. Maybe see you around the campus.
Heading back now.
Even 70 percent chance of rain in Paris sounds wonderful with possibilities. Can't wait to see what you get.
It's lovely in the rain but less so when it's 40 degrees and windy.
Hey Daniel ! Thanks for the Paris Milnor experience ! Never been there myself. Paul Cupido and Rebe Groebli had work displayed at Paris photo. Amazing work. Take care Daniel !
There were 90 galleries representing hundreds and hundreds of photographers. And the rest of the city was exhibiting works as well. Crazy time to go. Never came close to seeing it all.
Wow! So interesting! I’m so sorry I couldn’t make it to Paris…
Hi Dan. I really liked the shot of the Eiffel Tower framed through the black iron fence. Some barrel distortion along the edges of the frame makes the composition even better. Thanks for sharing your video with us. Hope your trip is successful for you on a personal & buisness level.😊
Love that place.
Hope you accomplish the mission, enjoyable show.
Hi Dan !
Paris Photo looks awesome this year :-o
Was hoping to catch a quick train over to Paris to catch the Blurb meetup this Saturday but is looking like I will not make it. Maybe next time. Enjoy your time in Paris! Looking forward to more of these Visual Diaries 👍
Bummer! Sorry to miss you.
Something to aspire too, the photobook awards looks amazing.
There are 300 book signings at Paris Photo alone....
Hope you have a rewarding time Dan!
Have a great time seems like you made the Zf work for you. Looking forward to your book workshop next week.
It's been fun so far.
Enjoyed watching this! Yet to get to Paris but its inspiring 🙌🏽
It's a wonderful city.
Hello, Daniel! May you please ask Blurb to correct "Portugal's website"?
Portugal's currency is Euros and it should be pt. or .pt, not br
Love your videos!
All the best
Paris is so cool! Enjoy. 😊 Btw your images in this video has analog vibe/mood. Like it.
straight out of camera images.
Great, then do nothing more @@DANIELMILNOR505 😍
…so sorry I did not plan for this.
Rain in Paris goes together like rain in Vancouver. I'd go for a dark & moody Paris. Perfect for B&W. The piano soundtrack worked well IMO. Enjoy getting out of strip mall 'merica.
Yes, as long as it's not DUMPING rain.
I enjoy your videos and your approach to photograpphy, although I prefer a different mood in my photos. I am an amateur photographer and my ambition is just to enjoy photography. I bought the Nikon Zf last week to replace my old Nikon D200... Because of your videos I made for the first time a magazine (with Blurb) to gitt to some friends. Thanks for all that.
Recenty I saw that you have an Instax Wide printer. Can you talk a little bit more about that? I love to have printed photos. I had a Instax wide camera before but the quality was not great. And I was thinking about buying the printer when I saw it on your video... I would love to know more about the role of that little device in your photo life.
Thank you for your videos!
I won't speak for Daniel, but I love my Instax. Where putting in my journal or a quick print for my photo subject, like a bride or musician, the little print makes them smile. Fun tool!
I love the thing. And the quality is great but at the end of the day it's an instant film printer, so my expectations aren't high.
Daniel I am arriving tomorrow from Toronto for two days. Let’s meet at the French restaurant.
Most likely will have to meet at Paris Photo or at the photowalk/meetup.
@@DANIELMILNOR505 Meet at the French restaurant was a joke.
You start becoming an "equipment wh*re", like the rest of RUclips. I had faith in you.
(Written with a good amount of humor😇😅) #ZF
What? I was doing my unboxing video and missed your question....
Allright Dan. Here we go, time to let go of the inner American. Grab a croissant. And a cappuccino. Or that disgusting socks-drink you keep promoting.
Practice the Scottish R a bit. Rrrr. You’ll need it later on.
Can’t believe here’s a Dutch guy phonetically explaining French. But here we go:
Repeat after me:
Pa-pa-pa-pa… stop.
Read-read-read-rea….. stop (no D but roll the R)
Sanitizer-sanitizer-san…stop
Sure-sure-sure-sure… add the letter Z: z-sure
Mèh.
That’s it:
Pa-Rea San z-sure Mèh. Say it quick and with a bit of a mumble.
I've got it now!
Have a blast Daniel in Le Pari, get some Belgium beer down ye. only a few mind you
Had one last night, at least I think I did.
Bonjour Dan your French pronunciation is not bad keep. working on it enjoying your trip salute
You are being kind...
My cousins and family had more books than a library! French depends on correct pronunciation! My late Mom spoke with her hands! slap! at least try..
I am nowhere near correct anything in French.
