Amazing Peter! You are a master of light and beautiful female imagery. Paris, such a historic place to find both beautiful women and beautifully soft old architecture. Happy travels to you both! 👍 😊
Well done Peter,Tess, and yes i have not forgot you Bec. Tess is one beautiful woman. And yes that ending shot of she,all i can say is stunning... And yep peter love your shirt👍👌👍
Trying to decide whether you are a great photographer or a phenomenal selector of models. That’s too hard for me, so I’ll just go for the tie. Tess did a great job. Both cooperative and proactive. Not to mention beautiful. Bec’s video was about the best yet. Thank you to all.
Honestly to me these b&b environments or some living environment with the window light are my favourite places to shoot Enjoying those series where you do this type shoots
Many thanks for this backstage session. -- @Bec: Many thanks for opening a closing the session. Congratulation for this flat you rented when you were in Paris; the design is excellent. I don't really understand why you (and Peter) say "little tiny". In Europe you will find really small flats, and this doesn't seem to be the case. -- @Tess: Many thanks for posing in this session, you are an excellent Model. I am glad you met again Bec, since she said, in a podcast, that you were friends. It is good to meet friends once again. -- The games with the mirrors is excellent because, specially when the Model can be seen from different angles, from reflection, in the same view. -- @Peter: I like a lot the photographs that have the buildings, outside, as background. Not only because the windows of the building provide a regular patterns, but also because so much light behind doesn't blind the photographs. I think the 1st idea that would come to my head, if I would take photographs with this light conditions, would be to have the light in front and never behind. But you are doing also this latter options, that is a risk. -- @Peter: you are #1 in photography, but you have to admit that Bec is #1 in video. -- @Tess: When you go out to the balcony, with heels, and you lay your hip on top of the handrail, it produces on me a lot of vertigo. It is good you don't feel the same. -- @Bec: you are a 5stars girl, this is what the reflexion of the mirrors are saying, at the close of the session.
Great shoot, loved Tess's out fit and the BNB doing the black and white. Seemed like a perfect combination. Did you have to change F-Stop much? Especially near the mirrors and the outside shoot.
Always great to see pro using prime lenses. Seems like all your photos are shot in landscape. Do ever shoot in portrait orientation? Lately I’ve been shooting in landscape to give that sense of the model in her environment and cropping to portrait mode later if desired.
Amazing shots Peter as usual !! Do you find Leica lenses make a real difference for these kind of portrait shots or would have achieved the same results with your trusted Hasselblad or even Sony that I see you using sometimes ?
Hi Peter, At 9.09 the backlight is very strong, which post processing method do you use to bring up the facial exposure, radial gradient, raising the shadows etc
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer I appreciate that they are straight out of camera, the image of the models face at 8.50 is rather underexposed, hence my question on your post production correction
How did you get the model exposed perfectly without over exposing the background chronically when she was on the balcony? Thats a mystery to me and the Video camera certainly didn't cope well in that regard...
She knows how to model crazy good shoot with only natural light

Enjoy? No, loved it! I once heard, that if someone makes it look easy, its because they put in a massive amount of time and effort into their craft.
Thank you
Magical!

9:34 Right after, "We got it.", there was a big smile and a natural pose. Too bad it wasn't a photo... but we did get it on video. Haha

Thanks, yes about 2 stops
Peter and Bec, c’mon Ozzie; we’ll done, great to view, thank you.
Thanks A K

Thanks, I look at the world in landscape sh I shoot that way, my clients can always crop to what they want :)

Thanks, all my lenses have different looks and feel, I've been working on a lens tutorial and it should be finished soon
We need a drinking game for every time Peter says that's really pretty.
" Shooting Tess in Paris". Sounds like a murder mystery. lol
the people watching the shoot in the opposite building at 8:05 are hilarious. Funny how people react
French people (which i am) ... we are not use to see that kind of scene.
Helpful and entertaining, as usual. At around 8:20,I thought the beeping was my coffee maker going off.
Thanks road works
Good video, not your best shoot IMO, but what a nice place !
Love the T-shirt where Bec is pregnant 😂!
And aways thanks for sharing !
I could not see a blonde having more fun that she could.
Hi Peter, At 9.09 the backlight is very strong, which post processing method do you use to bring up the facial exposure, radial gradient, raising the shadows etc
Did you see the stills at 8:50 they are previews straight out of the camera.
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer I appreciate that they are straight out of camera, the image of the models face at 8.50 is rather underexposed, hence my question on your post production correction
no masks just adjusted shadows and highlights a little on the cover photo
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer many thanks
Would you mind to post a link to your AirBNB-apartements of your trip?
How did you get the model exposed perfectly without over exposing the background chronically when she was on the balcony? Thats a mystery to me and the Video camera certainly didn't cope well in that regard...
I had bounce of one of the shutters
cooool
Peter, why do you prefer manual focusing?
because auto focus doesn't let you pick what you want to focus on, like a wall, or check or an arm
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer Thank you for your answer. Most of the times, you want to focus on the face. Isn't the auto focus doing a good job then?
auto focus never gets the catchlight right at f1.4 and below
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer I understand. Thank again, i really love your videos, and the way you work.
I wish at the end you just had say 3 of your best photos on display as well I know you show them thru this video
Is this camera full frame?
Yes
