Brother, I could never complete the vigilante mission using the hunter helicopter because i think there was a bug where the vehicle exploded or caught fire if you click on the menu and resume the game multiple times. It was impossible to achieve 100% in vc definitive mobile.
I failed brown thunder several times due to the hunter randomly exploding. I believe it wasn't actually "randomly" exploding, its just that because there's no smoke to indicate vehicle damage, I couldn't keep an eye on how much AOE damage I was taking from firing rockets. Its only once you see the first puff of smoke you start to be a bit more careful. But with no smoke, no careful. You just assume you were far away enough from each explosion to not take damage, and then all of a sudden with no warning, you're on fire. @FiftySixishTV you're right. Yes, but in my case, my hunter didn't explode coz of taking damage from the enemies or explosion. It quite literally RANDOMLY exploded. Nitpicky complaints are still legit complaints when the word "definitive" is used. @@BeatleHarrison Most things in the newest patch was just copy and pasted from the iOS version of the game. That certainly could be considered lazy, i think the non lazy approach would've been to adapt various fixes to the version we had on consoles already. There is lots of visual downgrades as a result, check out claude's jacket, the leather no longer looks like actual leather, worse ambient occlusion, no volumetric lighting/fog from light sources, much less foliage and trees, worse reflection detail on vehicles.. its a simple iOS rip, which was done over a year ago, so not much is new at all really. Most people are just so stuck on the Colors from the PS2 being in a lighting mode and the run n gun feature pulled from the mobile version, that they think all these fixes are new. Simple research would do a lot of good here. Heck most of the videos showcasing "before and after" are actually showing the version 1.0 launch version, not including the 3 or so game updates that released before this new 1.112 patch, which btw had already contained most of these fixes being credited to the new 1.112 update... 6:34 no ai models arent production ready yet. and this is a 5 minute job or less in blender.
It just looks so shapless and melty still, like some sort of automated process was used. The circle in the middle of the original texture is not quite round, and that's been carried over to the new model as a hole that's not quite round
@FiftySixishTV I am not saying is good, I saying that call it ai so people will hate over like the textures is stupid. But anyway, the video was great ignoring that. Thanks for comparing the 3 versions
@@ritpop GSG stated outright that they used AI image upscaling on textures. They stated they used UE's intelligence of the artificial variety to generate the LOD models.
You're here crying that they didn't use AI to generate the models... which "aren't production ready", when they.... used AI to generate models previously.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhttttttttttttttttt.
@@tim3172 generate 3d models is completely different from using "ai" to make lod. But sure, you probably are a ai specialist and an advanced 3d modeler which i certallly i am not
Yountook this from me but added cheap sound fx
7:22 i think thats TAA, the the anti-aliasing, that causes the ghosting. also happens in next gen GTA5 and Fortnite
I just dont like the game texturally, looks so pasty and flat idk.
Yeah pretty much, too smooth for the tone of the game. The new lighting helps in that regard a little though
some of these are legit, others are kinda nitpicky.
They're all "legit". Any feature that was in the original should be in the "definitive" edition, at the very least.
Why would you ever publish an "improved" game that's objectively worse than its basis?
R* was able to completely build VC in about 18 months, having started work before GTA3's release.
You mean to tell me that two different developers couldn't reproduce that in 3 years?
Please.
@@tim3172 maybe I'm saying this cuz I wasn't into gta until san andreas came out, I did watch a friend play vice city. (never played gta 3.) but at the time, all I thought gta was just free roam with no missions cuz, that's all he was doing. so I didn't see the appeal.... now after playing san andreas and gta 4. seeing complaints like the car rims/hub caps are different/shinny, at a first glance you don't even notice unless you compare with 2 Tv's side by side, but if you come with fresh eye's having not played the games since 2 decades ago, all you see are improvements, (unless it really sticks out like character nps wearing the wrong shirt, different face or missing color filter for the atmosphere.)
Nitpicky complaints are still legit complaints when the word "definitive" is used. Regardless, the smaller things I've picked on are just little one-percenter issues that on their own aren't a big deal, and are forgivable, but when there's dozens of those everywhere you look, it brings the whole game down. The only way to polish a turd is to get deep in between every steaming coil with the polishing cloth
Fr fr a bunch of this just seems like nitpicking. Also y'all want Tommy to look ugly af compared to his newer model that looks like Ray Liotta (his literal voice actor)?
Now can the content creators stop saying that the game is fixed? 😂
crazy people are happy about this lazy update 3 years later game still looks horrible
Lazy update? They literally fixed a bunch of shit and made them much more playable. I'm not a rockstar d rider but calling this update lazy is a stretch considering the new studio fixed what they can and actually seem to care about the games more than GSG and Rockstar did
@@BeatleHarrisoni agree the video shows things like at 3:22 that where fixed with the latest update but he doesn't show it for a reason, i personally think that we can blaim Rockstar Games for letting this be released but we should atleast be thankfull that they hired now a different studio to fix it further instead of just keeping it this way
@@BeatleHarrison Most things in the newest patch was just copy and pasted from the iOS version of the game.
Visuals were pretty heavily downgraded due to laziness, especially on PS5 and Series X.
@@Emerald-Bearer I've literally been playing the phone versions for the last year and know they're not new. However it still looks good on console and all this other stuff doesn't matter. 3 and VC are fixed now and are much more playable. These random nitpicky details nobody will notice doesn't matter
@Emerald-Bearer Plus they literally fixed so much more on the console versions, it's not a simple port, a lot of it is new as well
Ypu took this from my first VC DE zideo without credit me.
Which bit? I just checked your channel and you only have one VC DE video so was that the "first" one or is there another? You pointed out some good bugs in that video that I missed, but no I didn't copy anything, this is just stuff I personally found while playing. We're playing the same game remember
Nvm I found the first one, still don't know what you're talking about
@@FiftySixishTV I am kidding, haha. Yeah, them bugs man... half hearted patch. Not for us purist people.
You must be on PC that invisible road on incline is fixed shit a lot you showing is fixed on ps5
Keep in mind I'm showing befores and afters here, any footage with a maroon border is from before this latest patch
You gotta remember this is remastered not original and bugs are all over original but as bad😊
And the remaster added more, and worse, don't defend mediocrity.
"You gotta remember this is remastered not original"
Based on that logic, do remasters have to be crapfests with downgrades and more bugs or something?
Shit still ain't worth glazing over for now, hopefully it will be next update or next two updates tho.
I'm being careful not to blame GSG for bugs present in the original versions, people already did that a lot when DE first launched and got harmless things removed because they looked janky, but they were 20 year old bugs. There's so many clips I've left on the cutting room floor making these videos, now and a few years ago, of bugs I've found, but then checked the PS2 version and the bug was there too. I've learnt a lot actually
Don't forget they're the ones that said "definitive". If they said "trash edition" we'd be all like, fair enough, and move on
4:59 - Wait a minute. They could add a Classic Lightning Effect and improve the atmosphere, but could not rectify the spelling of Brief in the Main Menus? 🤦 It still says 🩲
It certainly does. I started to second guess whether or not any other games in the franchise had Briefs instead of Brief, but no, they all said Brief. Just one more small thing that is disrespectful to the original game devs
Maybe we will wait for another 3 years again to see this game completely fixed 🥰🥹😢
