- A quick note - Banner Kings should be optional as it tends to be the most problematic when it comes to crashing. I left it on the list because I was able to get about 20 hours into a campaign with only 3 - 4 crashes, then had the save file go bad so be aware. The list is still very fun without BK!

Crash Alert! I haven't thoroughly tested everything, but RBM and Better Smithing together were giving a 100% crash rate on crafting Menavlions. Other polearms worked fine, but selecting Menavlion head would crash.

i think its because the specific version of RBM he has downloaded is intended for bannerlord 1.1.2
@@bappo147 it is as i was running all the same mods with later more updated versions and did not crash also noticed his before native mods were out of date and due to the changes to the game they will error out a lot more thus causing other mods orders to not work right i was having the same issue about 3 patches ago as in 3 before full version got so bad i deleted everything including the game as i was that pissed off with it and the reason the speed up one causes crashes is due to the game having issues reacting to the speed the same thing used to happen with warband edits to the games speed this is one of the reasons they made it slower in bannerlord so it was not happening as much as the game has more time to adapt and change things on the map after things happen
also, the price you crafted will be cheaper when you sell. what i do is. i turn off RBM when ido smithing. then turn on when battle. ez

Man, mods are so addicting... You start adding little by little into your game until everything you do causes a crash, and you have to roll back and start analyzing everything, it can be so frustrating, but oh so satisfying when it all comes together... Having a modlist ready like this that works, has tips on configuration and warnings is very nice. Awesome video =)
I hate mods, since I spend more time adjusting the mod list than playing the game. Yet, I can't live without them.

Yeah man, the mods make the game better. I was playing vanilla on hard settings it got boring. I did a lot wrong but still thrived. The mods are annoying bc I was a console person. About to delete all start over and try to do this campaign.
there is a mod that makes it so the overworld of a game is crusader kings 3 but the battles are a total war style game i forgot the name of which game they use . i wanna try it bad.

This is why you hold back on updates. I know from experience, i modded oblivion back in the day. The trick is keeping a save of your modfolder.

You have no idea how much this helps, I just got started into modding bannerlord for the first time a couple of days ago and its been a nightmare! I'm talking constant crashes, I'd be playing for like 20 min thinking everything is okay then all of a sudden my whole comp crashes. Only happens on bannerlord when its modded up, I've been taking mods off 1 by 1 till im getting a more stable game but this video came out right on time :P . Ive been binging most of ur vids, keep up the great content! :D
Thanks for watching! Even with a solid list, the game will still crash from time to time so make sure you turn up autosave so you don't lose much progress. I was playing vanilla last night and it crashed on me lol so maybe it's not even the mods and just the base game!
Get the better time mod and test your mod list by running the game at the maximum speed for five minutes adding each mod one at a time. I found that any increase death mod crashed my game in late game.

@@TrixR4Albos I prefer with everything turned on for RBM. RUclips doesn't like dismemberment so I have not had much chance to use it lol
Depending on the crash type you can actually see which mod is causing the crash. This helped immensely with my modding on the game. Hope it helps!

This guy has to be one of my favorite bannerlord content creators of all time, the way how he tells me things in his guides i never knew before helps out so much thank you Strat.
RTS Camera is a mod I can't live without. It's super good for ordering units in RBM campaigns, and you can also use it to take control of a unit after your character falls in battle.
hey! how did you download a working rts mod? i added the RTS file into my modules but when i start it up it just says it wont load.

Hey SG! I’ve been watching your videos for about 2&1/2 years now. Dreaming of the day I could get on a pc and enjoy the games I’ve watched you play. Well that day has passed as of about a week ago. And the first game I bought and downloaded was Bannerlord. Now I’m trying to learn modding, installing programs, and load orders. I’ve run so far only harmony, character reload, and rts camera. I’ve done the load order based on what you show in the beginning of this video yet I can’t seem to get the game to load without crashing. It’s been frustrating but I’m going to keep trying. Thank you so much for all of your strategy guides and entertainment videos.

Character reload.... My most badass homie was a tiny ugly man. Now he is a big bad boy. Honestly helped with my immersion of my current save so much
The problem is that no mods really fix what's fundamentally wrong with Bannerlord. You can redo the map. You can reskin units. You can tack on mechanics. You can add more screens to click through. However none of them really fix the fact that Bannerlord is a battle simulator and not much else and has no actual kingdom management at endgame.

About 9 months ago I got HEAVILY into this game for the first time and went with 1.0.1 and spent 2-3 days getting different mods tested, finding the correct versions. Sifting through countless change logs and countless previous version downloads putting together my 6-8 mod game. To see someone actually make a video with this much clarity and direction while being end user friendly. Bravo and Salute. Great video.
Immediately tried this and what a breath of fresh air.
It's almost like playing a different game! Especially with RBM - it's not just changing skins to look different but actually plays differently too

Also, I know it doesnt conform to your companion only run and can be a bit finicky but i love the MyLittleWarband mod. To me, its great for roleplaying.

I can understand why many people like mods for the game, and why the base game might seem a bit bare and boring once you have gotten used to excellent mods. However, as a player of bannerlords unmodded, I will say that the sheer prevelance of modded content on the channel can be a bit daunting, and make it harder to get interested.
That being said, I still enjoy your format of videos. Keep up the good work. Just don't forget those poor unfortunate souls like me who choose to play without mods ;)

I am beyond addicted to this game. A month in and i easily have 150-200 hours in. Sad but i dont regret it 😁 i wanted to struggle as much as i could in the vanilla version at first, then after some youtube videos my mind was blown 😮 this is WITHOUT mods !! I cant wait to dive in. Id rather truly learning the vanilla version to know what i feel it needs added or changed.

Leave it up to the guy with 4k hours to know what he's talking about. Fkin legend you are, Ive been modding for 15 years, never had as much of a headache than this game. Everything worked perfectly after previously spending 4 hours myself raging trying to fix it lmao. I manually downloaded only MCM btw.

@@Strat-Guides If you dont mind the graphics and manage to get through the setting, be prepared to sink 1k+ hours. It had the same development time as bannerlord, made by 1 guy, but its a finished game.

I would personally recommend fourberie, this is an incredible mod for a bandit playthrough
One issue I've ran with RBM, if you are using their troop overhaul, which is great, sometimes a javelin throw in the back shield causes a crash.

Yeah my little warband lets you create your own custom troop tree. I've had issues with crashing before when I tried to use it, so maybe don't use mods that add new items or gear to the game if you're going to use MLWB

Nice! I have a bunch of games hidden as well - stuff that I have no interest in installing again. These are only the ones I would consider picking up again at some point :)

I manually install my mods because I couldn't get Nexus to work consistently so it's hard for me to keep track what mods are up to do and which don't so I often get a sleeper mod that kills my save whenever the game get's updated. Thanks for the mod list, I'll be sure to use this as a basis.

These mods give the game longevity. I have over 1300hrs in warband so I knew that bannerlord would become a bit samey after a while. Still going though, and these, and other mods keep the game fresh. Nice.
I don't know what mod is doing this (probably one of the XP increase ones) but I am slowly gaining Tactics XP in the tutorial area while I'm talking to my brother. It's hilarious.

If you plan on making a video about rbm then something I would want to understand in the video is level scaling, I know from the description of the mod that swords improve the most with your level but is that really enough to make them overtake maces in late game though? Also in late game which weapon type is the best in late game?(My bet is sword because they deal the most damage and Vandal would mitigate their biggest weakness which is armor-piercing.) Also thank you for the high quality content!

Thanks! I'm using steam and the mods are installed manually through Nexus, so no launcher specifically for the mods.
Banner Kings is a must have mod even if it means you usually have to spend x amount of time figuring out bugs etc

@@laisphinto6372 No idea does it work right now but i know author behind BK and those behind Eagle Rising are working together as Eagle Rising will use Banner Kings BKCE (Banner Kings cultures Expansion)

Yeah I've got a couple videos on fiefs - but I can save you the time here. The amount of money a fief has on hand is directly related to the prosperity. So if you want more money in the towns "piggy bank" you need to increase the prosperity. Hey, this is sort of unrelated, but im just now getting back into bannerlord, and trying to do a cavalry only vlandian army at the moment. Ive gave up and mixed just a couple infantry and crossbow dudes in. But have they fixed cavalry? I cant really tell? Also, what is vlandia's current best troops and units?
Not really, cav are still wonky IMO. Try to get a bunch of the Voulgier shock troops - they destroy anything that isn't ranged
@@Strat-Guides So far Vlandia has been more fun than I thought. The Mercenary bonuses and just doing tournaments early on got me my gear, and paid for all the vlandian squires and the mounts required to level them up. They definitely are not swadians though. Sucks that so many of the vlandian troops look cool, but arent that good in reality.

edit 2: Morecompanions to my tavern isnt showing up in my mod list after I downloaded it and put the file in mods, do i have to do something else or does it just not show? same thing with butter achievements, its just not showing on my mod list? edit edit: I fixed it, im a moron, downloaded the files into the main tab of bannerlord instead of the modules tab, guess i got exited and forgot the most basic of things lmfao

This one is companion only, so no regular troops at any point. I do like using distinguished service though, great mod!

Yeah same! I have nightmares from the last time I tried it - I spent 5+ hours getting a full set of custom mercenary troops and the game crashed anytime I would try to hire them :*(

ye i had to manually test everything and find out the individual mods that were crashing my game. What i did is load up one mod at a time and if it crashed then i would remove it from my list

Hello just to say, amazing work, really good to have a short video with full mod list and load order. Still 1 problem CA_Eagle Rising can crash on loading, no fix for the moment
It was working fine for me and others, so I'm not sure what's causing the issues for you. Is the Eagle Rising version you're using a match to the one in this video?
@@Strat-Guides Yes, on nexus i can't download when files are too heavy cause it's crash , so i just downloaded the steam version, after the download i found the localization of Eagle and made a local version to stop the auto update of the workshop, mod crash alone or with other mod, i'm not the only one with this issues on steam version is the same as your's, tomorrow I gonna try a workshop version alone.

@@Strat-Guides i found how to fix, Eagle rising need to be in both workshop/content and modules folder =)
The problem with modding is, after you managed to create the best mods set up and tested everything thoroughly, you will then start a new playthrough, all excited and hyped. 2 Days into your modded playthrough, Taleworld decides to release out of the blue an important udate that includes crucial new features... Now you decide to take a break from modding until the modders updated all their mods. There is no guarantuee that this mod set up will ever work again.. You need to test it thoroughly again..
In conclusion, I went through this goddamn cycle so many times, that I had enough.. I will no longer use mods, until Taleworld confirm they release the bulk of the content they wanted to implement.
just revert the version until new ones are updated
Revert version and stay or stop the game from updating and just use mods that matching version.
Would you do a Lord of the Rings series once those conversions mods come out😊

I hoped to see some mods that don't improve your experience, but give new. This is the thing that did mount and blade 1 so replayable. For example Prophecy of Pendor. I have played for hundreds of hours in Mount and blade warband, but when I installed the mod, I played another game. I have only one question where are such mods like PoPor or something like that?
One thing that I've found is that trying to make a companion from "more companions in my tavern" into a clan leader results in a crash
Do you have an updated list for this? Because some of the mod versions you are using are no longer available to download, even by cheesing nexus that hides the archives, by googling them and downloading manually. I managed to find some this way, but more companions for my taverns I cannot find, or realistic weather... And it's a shame, I want to play this mod list very much. I tried the same list but for game version 1.28 but it crashes on new game start.
How did you get Banner Kings to work with all of these mods? Even the mod page for more companions for my taverns says that it is incompatible with Banner Kings.
These mod lists should be updated. some stuff cannot be really used anymore due to the bad status of this game with a premature release and never ending "update" story.. aka "we havenpt finishied develooment in time so we keep -Game as a Service as the new method for M&B II Bannerlord"..
