Would you ever consider using the spreading veins on the mowr and mowing it out flat and raking it up, it's a great job too dry the grass and is easier and faster to lift compared to the grouper rows
Hi Gerry, Absolutely 2 brilliant videos on yout silage harvesting and throughly enjoyed every moment of them. Only getting to see them now as we are very busy in the wild West too 🥵. You have become an expert at camera work and the positioning of it makes one feel like you are right there in the field. Got all my own baled on Monday, bone dry too and I was also very surprised with the crop 🙏. Great work and well done. 🚜👍.
Awsome video Gerry great drone footage the last field you where in look not to bad a crop of silage. The first field you were in look a great 👍 crop of silage 🚜🚜👩🌾👩🌾👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧👌👌🏴🏴🦌🦌
Lovely video again Gerry👍. I’d be interested to hear how your finding the trailer mower now you’ve had her a while compared to the linkage mounted one. I personally always thought there awkward things lol
Well It would reduce the need for a man and tractor. Issue is that we would need to invest in a front linkage and PTO and a front mower also. I I was doing more acres it would be worth it but not at the minute. Maybe if I changed a tractor and the replacement tractor was set up with it I’d consider it.
@@davidpatrick1650 mine never gave much issues. I’ll spend few thousand recently on the 30 year old one I just Purchased as I don’t know it’s history and replaced clutch, pressure plate, hi/lo seals, ect. But that’s precautionary stuff down to not knowing the tractor. I bought our 6930 for €58,000 in 2014. I’ve done 5000 hours on it and all I’ve had to do to it was put a new set of tyres on it and I painted the rims as the color was faded. It’s worth today what I paid for it. I’m happy with that 🤷♂️
@@gerry6420 I like watching your video and I was born on a farm in Leicestershire ( I farm we farm said let’s wind you up by saying case lol.) my favourite tractor is Massey Ferguson Thankyou for writing back
Seriously good crop there Gerry 😍, though I heard a little knock coming from the 69, might be only a fuse!! 😜.
Team Red
Absolutely serious quality of grass... not a weed in sight...
Yea if. I find if you don’t tip away at a but of spraying every year then you will have a weed issue.
Love the bit when u point the camera out to hear the mower been revved out
Yes it was a good shot. Sounded great
You didn’t disappoint with that shot twice Gerry! Love the sound too of mowers been revved up! It’s silage time! Great video as always!
@@gerry6420 is the 6930 a 50k box or 40k

Great work and well done. 🚜👍.
Great video gerry, good to see both mowers going together.
Soil samples of the 2 fields would be interesting to see. Great video and info.
just after finishing cutting a load of silage and started watching more mowing lol
Before you showed us the bit of grass you missed I was thinking. Will he miss some again this year 😀😀
I hope not. 😅
Isn't just the best sound ever the mower revving up!
Great stuff , first grass down is always a good feeling . The weather always pees on a farmers parade ! 👍🏻🚜🏴
That's a sweet mower Gerry 👌👌
Lovely clean swarth, enjoyed the video especially the drone shots. Keep it going!
Great vid today. Can't wait for the next one. Keep it up Gerry

@@gerry6420 thanks for that Gerry 🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍👌👌
Very tidy mowing, great system with 2 mowers and not a rake in sight.
Great video . Shame about the rain hopefully didn’t get too wet
The race is on Gerry between u with the John deere and Adrian with the case who will be finished first 😂😂😂
Nice video gerry
Smart looking setup! Would you not be tempted to put a linkage and mower on the front of the 6930? Would save a tractor and a man. 👍
great video as always gerry
Tidy machines Gerry 👍🏻
Drone footage is almost therapeutic to watch sat on the couch, easier than actually doing the mowing anyway and worrying about stones or stray posts 😂
Great camera angle on the grouper

Missed a lot their gerry
Would u ever consider buying a rake?
Missed a bit😂😂😂
Come on someone had to say it
Hopefully you got it all done 👍
Was waiting for that 😂👌
@@gerry6420 I missed a bit too this year all the way around the outside run completely forgot only realised once went to Ted it out😂😂😂😂
Does your harvester not cut the grass up into smaller pieces? If so, how do you find your silege feeding with larger grass blades?
Jerry would it be worth yer while picking up a well looked after 50 series harvester

Great video Gerry 69 sounds well
Nice video, not too sure though about keeoping the rain down here in Kerry!!
No that aged poorly 🤣
Would a front mounted mower speed up the operation or is the second 🚜 just handy Gerry ?

Will you be selling the 64 Gerry? The 3650 will take it's place
Nah he'd have to rename his channel then.
How many hours does the 64 have?
I might sell it. 🤷♂️. I’d keep the channel name as a homage to the 6420 I’d I sold it 😂
@@gerry6420 nah the 6420 is too realiable for that unlike those case tractors 🤮
