Were glad you enjoyed it:) and yes, when the smoker is running more of a "grilling" temperature (350+) I find that the heat distributor causes the outside edges to run hotter than the middle portion of the grill. I use this to my advantage while cooking at higher temps, but it can screw you if you're not paying attention.
See, I know this is unhealthy, but I like to put some butter cubes between the chicken skin and meat, it gives it a nice crispiness, flavor and adds a little more to the juiciness.

I’ll seriously start budgeting for one of these bad boys, usually temp control is a struggle but it looks like this makes it a breeze.
It seriously is an amazing grill. I mean, they thought of everything. I took a nap while cooking cause I wasn’t worried about temp spikes!
