She is very well spoken and confident when she is talking about things. I also like how she is upfront and honest about things she doesn’t know. She just admits that she doesn’t know or she is unsure when asked about certain things. She doesn’t try to pretend that because she was once a Goddess she knows everything or doesn’t even care what people might think if she says she doesn’t know having been a Kumari once. Such a positive soul!! 💓 We need more honest people like these today.. 😊

9:10 As the story goes The King (Jayprakash Malla) used to play Tripasa with Goddess Taleju in secret. One day while playing, he had sensual desires towards her after which she disappeared never to be seen in her true form again. His only penance would be to build a temple in her name where she would reside as a virgin girl until she comes of age.

I think the whole experience of her being ex goddess and how she got adapted to this modern environment and the way she express that is amazingly beautiful.
We can't even adapt when the season is changing and she has to get adapted to a whole new life. It's overwhelming and she explained that experience so beautifully..
And the way of showing our culture in this podcast is like preserving our culture. So many people don't knw about kumari. I think this video may help to give knowledge to them who are unknown.
And one day I would like to visit kumari and worship her.

There is a common perception that the role of being a Kumari deprives young girls of their rights as children. However, what people fail to consider is the fact that the entire country, government, and even the girl's own parents worship her as a divine figure. While in the past, there were certain aspects like education and socialization that were lacking, these have improved significantly over time. From my perspective, I believe that being a Kumari is a privilege for girls, as they are treated with reverence and regarded as living goddesses, unlike an ordinary girl.

She is so defensive toward Kumari tradition and says it should be preserved. But had it been preserved the way it was 50 years ago, she would not have been speaking like the way she is now. She is where she is and how she is because of the voices that asked for the changes.

Bruh you got to do some frigging research, you can't just grill the participant. Just not fair. You need to throw some of your research then along with the research try to connect with her knowledge. I understand people will hate me for this comment. But I am just not feeling cool about your strategy to produce a podcast. #rant
On the other side, yes it's a massive knowledge shared. #optimism

I felt the same too. This podcast is undoubtedly a gem but Sushant could have done more research and asked variety of questions rather than asking her about the 'challenges of being kumari' multiple times throughout the podcast.
Anyways, it was great to hear something that isn't found easily in mainstream media.
