Blake is one half of one of the big Hollywood power couples (whether that's deserved or will even continue after this is a whole other discussion) so naturally the spotlight on her will be bigger.

More importantly blake promoted her alchohol line and even had a beverage on the name of the abuser! Like most of domestic violence happens due to alcohol. . And sje is promoting her booze brand in his way like no body in hr marketing team saw ANYTHING wrong about this!
The Cocktail with the name of the abuser was „Ryle you wait“. Even worse though was the name of the cocktail after that: „It ends with Buzz“ a pun about her alcohol brand „Betty Buzz“. Now, what exactly ended with Buzz? Lilly’s Life after a drunk Ryle pushed her down the stairs ? Was he drinking Betty Buzz while he did it? Was it tasty?
She also doesn’t drink! But her husband has a gin line soooo of course she needs to make money off it! As someone who also doesn’t drink I can’t imagine trying to sell ppl something to make alcoholic drinks with!
Brandon, there was no need for you to get involved. You should've just stayed quiet. It's not really helping and you should've just stayed out of it coz now people will look at you differently.
Brandon didn’t stay silent because his character is set to be the lead in the next movie. He’s aligning himself with the bullies to secure the role, he doesn’t card about DV like them
@@meia002 It was already problematic when he did interviews with Blake. The character he played stands up against domestic violence, but now he’s standing up with those who disregard DV??? I don’t get why they’re cast and given press opportunities-an elementary school kid could handle it better
This guy Brandon is so blasé. How does a guy with zero personality, a bad haircut, no sense of style…even get into Hollywood? And don’t tell me he’s good looking, he would blend right into any nascar crowd.
Exactly ,why wasn’t the leading actress speaking on how serious the message of the movie was?! Instead she was all smiles and speaking as if it was some happy fairy tale movie to “put on your florals” and go watch. Promoting everything but the true context of the movie. That is what is upsetting people and it keeps getting lost . Domestic violence is real ,it is an everyday thing for both men and women and they have made a mockery of it. And Brandon’s lackluster statement further proves the point that many of them couldn’t care less. Its giving ‘ i understand DV I have a friend that is going through it’
That ‘bump’ comment to the reporter is even more horrific knowing that she’s infertile due to health reasons. Obviously, Blake didn’t know that but still…😬
So I read that Scarlett’s directorial debut is coming out. Justin is the producer. I think she latches onto people more successful than her and copies them and she’s actually in competition with Scarlett so she tried to take Justin’s movie and tried to direct it to compete with Scarlett.
@@gayavardan And the general consensus is that Blake is a homewrecker because the timeline of when Blake worked with Ryan on Green Lantern, when she broke up with Penn Badgley, how Ryan filed for divorce just 2 months after her breakup, how quickly they got married, the waitress who saw them very cozy while he was still married, etc. Many say they pulled a Brad Pitt and Angelina on Scarlett.
Lively is not taking the message seriously. She doesn't even mention anything about dv in interviews. It is about wearing your florals and bringing your friends like it is a big party.

In addition to the Me Too Movement, I’m loving Accountability culture. Things are coming to light about people that have carefully cultivated images. I don’t agree with threats or bullying, but it’s not being a bully when you’re calling out entitled or rude behaviors.
I love accountability culture! I never knew what to call it since “cancel culture” isn’t something I fully agree with- especially in situations like this one with Blake Lively. Honestly, I never even knew who she was besides Ryan Reynolds’s wife so I can’t “cancel” her. I can sure as hell not like her though!😂
EXACTLY!!! I watched a very disappointing take - by a psychologist no less - on this controversy conflating the two - and in effect completely bypassing why the public is upset aka the seriousness of DV
Honestly I find Ryan Reynolds SO overrated and I’m sick of him being shoved down our throats so I’m not mad about this if these 2 just go away. Like he’s really not as funny and charming as he thinks he is.
Aaahhh, she's not "private" person. She put herself out there! She's done enough to have a catalog of interviews and events and videos to show how condescending and elitist she is.
It’s interesting that Brandon talking about “vilifying” the women of this film when I’ve only seen it happen to Blake Lively. It can be argued this also happened to Colleen Hoover, but she’s been a polemic author for years so technically this film didn’t start the backlash against her.
He cut off comments on that post but people were letting him have it in his other posts. I think he will regret siding with the reynolds even though they're probably pumping him full of bull about helping his career.
brandons response feels like hes just trying to get women to rally together just because theyre women. like clearly the women arent promoting this right and people are rallying behind justin. also im not trying to make colleens books impact lesser. but her book basically romanticises DV and im not sure thats what someone in that position should be reading
Exactly. Its so belittling. Benevolent sexism is still sexism, buddy. We arent some monilith who are morally obligated to rally around eachother cause of our gender. We will call eachother out when we deserve callouts and framing it as if its petty while simultaneously saying you take the issue seriously is so tone deaf. I will give him grace that i think he felt pressured to speak out to save his career, and "come on guys, they're women" probably is the closest to a defense he could get before it became lies. But hes doing himself no favors
Spill Sesh, FYI, there is just a new video that just came out with Ryan Reynolds, his mom and Hugh Jackman saying Brandon (from Team Blake) should be the next Wolverine. It’s obviously they got Brandon to help Blake in return to helping him cause Brandon has minimal acting credits. It’s sick how Ryan, even Hugh is aiding Blake in her bullying.
Im sorry, but Brandon Sklenar's reply kind of pissed me off. I say this as a survivor of SA. Just because you are a woman doesn't mean you can't react to trauma incorrectly. In my case, when my assailant started showing signs of ill intent, it was other WOMEN who told me to not react and to hide. They told me not to stir the pot. When I went to court years later, I only have prior proof because of reports the MEN in my life had made. Ultimately It was another man who saved my life too. True... the assailant was male, but I was treated so poorly by the women involved I didn't feel I even deserved to stick up for my self (even as far as feeling I deserved it). My confidence in myself was shot because of them. What I am trying to say is, just because you're a women doesn't mean you automatically have respect for other women. Doesn't mean you have respect for such a heavy topic. To women like me... It doesn't feel great to have mean girls involved in the topic of our trauma.
I hear you, a very similar situation happened to me as well. It was mostly other women who made the situation worse for me. It feels like an even worse betrayal, when other women stab you in the back like that.
I think it’s fair that Blake is being held accountable for her flippant behavior on such a difficult subject matter like DV. But the entire Ellen Pompeo, Zendaya speculation is honestly, so ridiculous. Who hasn’t gone to an event and just talked to the people they know? Just because the two are celebs doesn’t mean that Ellen knows Blake or has to talk to her for there to not be an issue. I also think if people want to see an issue, see an issue with the fact that Blake and Ryan got married on a plantation and that Blake shared pro-sl***** propaganda on an online posting.
That’s her life philosophy. That’s why although she’s a mom of 4, she’s always showing her “lady lumps”. I was surprised to see in a cooking tutorial she wore a low cut, really tight dress. It was ridiculous
For me it's how she says it. Maybe if that phrase was uttered by someone else, I wouldn't have given it a second thought but Blake's way of saying it is sooo 9th grader.
But, but, but…. She is the fashion girlie because she played one on TV 15 years ago. Clearly she knows more about fashion than anyone ever could because Gossip Girl. /s
Why is she even still in the lime light? Gossip girl ended ages ago and she’s not a particularly amazing actress. Leighton was the star of that show. It comes off as forced at this point. Her only claim to real relevance at this point is Ryan.
She should have stayed a trophy wife to Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift's BFF. I think she tried to be known for something else other than gossip girl, and it backfired.
Yelp. It hurts because people around Taylor keep getting caught for being problematic. It's making me side eye my fave(tay) 😞. I can no longer give her the benefit of the doubt. Essentially, you are what you hang around.

I am afraid Sklenar’s involvemment in this film along with his post may cancel him just as viewers have gotten a chance to appreciate his talent. Taking sides AND admonishing viewers for their opinions and feelings for what they have seen was giving the same disrespect and emotional hurt that abusers heap upon their victims. I want to believe Sklenar didn't mean to also be a part of the problem, and his words were heartfelt and meant to bring peace. Sadly, however well meaning his words were meant, they did not read as they were intended. JMHO

I can almost guarantee the cast doesn’t like Justin because of Blake’s smear campaign and the power her family holds in the industry. Disgusting honestly

Trying to take over a movie you're only acting in stepping over the director and his vision for his movie just cause you are more rich and famous and think you can do what you want all of the time is really fucked up and shows what kind of person she is
Why couldn't the actor say that the movie is about domestic violence? Or something similar? It's more than a coincidence when none of the other actors say it either. It's like someone chose not to say it in advance. Someone decided to promote the movie in a light, romantic, and even girly way, and let the DV be a surprise for people who hadn't read the book yet. Its like they were scared that would scare the audience away. When something it's about a serious and heavy topic, it's better to be upfront with the audience and take a serious approach, as the director is doing it.
While yes I think people should know, but it also makes sense because DV can come out of nowhere. It’s like in your life you wouldn’t see it until it happens so I think they might be trying to capture that in the film too
@lhaigler1485 I was thinking that could be a reason (and maybe understandable) for avoiding mentioning that. Maybe because at the beginning of the story it's confusing and not clearly intentional. However, I prefer the director's approach.

Why is no one mentioning how Blake made fun of Kate Middleton during Kate’s disappearance in order to promote her own alcohol brand? This was where I stopped being a fan of Blake. It just didn’t sit right with me, and her “apology” felt forced. It just felt like she put it out because she didn’t want to get hated on after Kate came out about her cancer. That whole thing gave mean girl vibes about Blake and it’s sad to see she’s always been this way and continues to be this way too.
This is the first time I have properly watched that little interview. Her behavior was nasty, and the attitude was uncalled for. My heart breaks for the interviewer as she seems like an absolute sweetheart. I wish her nothing but the best ♡ She is clearly far more classy than Blake.
I don't want to watch this movie, because I don't want to support this woman, but I also want to watch it to support Justin. At the end of the day this backlash hurts the movie he worked so hard on. And he really tries to get the message across 😢
It’s great that her PR team tried to cite pregnancy hormones as the cause for her bad behavior. So you were trying to stand up as a feminist but got called out for being rude then attempted to blame it on female problems?? lol
And brandon and that lame dissertation paper he wrote looked lost and dead in the eyes every interview barely could compute a sentence during the press run but has alot to say behind a screen when we know a A&R wrote this 😂
She came from a rich family in the media. She’s conventionally attractive. She married well and has been more busy with having kids so that cuts down on her work (not that she needs to worry about working). It all makes sense that she probably never really had to work too hard and has gotten away with her bad behavior. I’m not excusing it but this is my speculation.
Fr its wild that the man MAN is the one that I have seen go out of their way to make to subject matter of the film known and he is being punished for it
I understand the cast siding with her, they only care about their career, if they destroy a man's reputation it's fine as long as they get more famous. The saddest part, is that if Justin didn't have such a good reputation, if it had been someone else, no one would have believed him and everyone would have sided with her
She is promoting her alcohol label and brand and named one of the drinks after the abuser in the film. She is beyond tone death. She is being disrespectful now. There is no coming back from this at least for me.
I wish rude people knew the effect their person has on others. The fact she admits it damaged her for many years cost her to think she had made a mistake or she was not good enough and anxiety. Every time that she’s going to interview somebody. Horrible.
I know EL James tried to say the same about 50 Shades, that it was a "love" story. Colleen Hoover uses EL James as "inspiration" and they're best friends. Colleen writes other problematic relationships and peddles them as romantic. So I'm really not too sure how seriously she takes the DV issue in this current one.
I’m seriously so happy people are rallying behind this beautiful women’s side, the way Blake talked to her in the interview clearly she acts like she caught her being sexist or something. I’ve honestly never been a fan of her
What does Parker Posey have to say about that interview. Blake wasnt the only one who was rude it was made worse because Parker Posey joined in and basically encouraged the behaviour. People aren't mad because Blake put her heart and soul into the movie. We're mad because she made about a movie about DV and promoted it as a cute, girlie, bring your bff's and have a cocktail mess. Don't pull the "you're all just hysterical" s--t with us.
The way she deliberately focuses on Parker to get her point across to the interviewer in such a passive aggressive way gives massive mean girl energy
yes she's giving THE mean girl vibes
Justin been SUCH a gentleman throughout this whole thing… not bashing BL or snapping back at the(her) “accusations” of his treatment or behavior on set. Damn I knew I liked him, he just seems legitimately *nice*❤

More importantly blake promoted her alchohol line and even had a beverage on the name of the abuser! Like most of domestic violence happens due to alcohol. . And sje is promoting her booze brand in his way like no body in hr marketing team saw ANYTHING wrong about this!
every day I learn something new about Blake Lively that makes me hate her even more
More people need to be talking about this. It’s disgusting.
What’s the alcohol brand 👀 didn’t know she had one
6:30 *Justin* was *SO REAL* for that. He’s got my respect 1000%.
Yes my EXACT thought
Clearyly, the Depp PR representative is good at their job.
brandon sklenar said all that while having the energy and personality of a dead fish throughout the entire situation
😂 Dead fish 😅 touche ❤😂
😂🐟
He posted it the same day a few Blake friendly accounts also posted about leaving it behind. Total PR move but no one is buying it
DEAD FISH!! 😂😂 you're EXACTLY 💯 right!
He couldn’t muster two words and wrote that novel in support. 😂😂😂😂😂
He's a sellout.
Brandon, there was no need for you to get involved. You should've just stayed quiet. It's not really helping and you should've just stayed out of it coz now people will look at you differently.
Brandon didn’t stay silent because his character is set to be the lead in the next movie. He’s aligning himself with the bullies to secure the role, he doesn’t card about DV like them
@RosaMente-u6d he should just shut up regardless. It's not a good look and he's just making it worse
I think she latches onto people more successful than her and copies them and she’s actually in competition with Scarlett so she tried to take Justin’s movie and tried to direct it to compete with Scarlett.
and she married Scarlet’s ex husband… yeah..
@@gayavardan🤔🤔
Oh this is a new twist! Hmmmm
it's called Eleanor the Great 😮 announced in 9/2023
@@gayavardan And the general consensus is that Blake is a homewrecker because the timeline of when Blake worked with Ryan on Green Lantern, when she broke up with Penn Badgley, how Ryan filed for divorce just 2 months after her breakup, how quickly they got married, the waitress who saw them very cozy while he was still married, etc. Many say they pulled a Brad Pitt and Angelina on Scarlett.
That dude asking for respect while he and his "mean girl group" disrespects the director 😂😂😂😂
Lively is not taking the message seriously. She doesn't even mention anything about dv in interviews. It is about wearing your florals and bringing your friends like it is a big party.
She seemingly gets offended if someone tries to point out the character is a dv victim.
Brandon…you should have kept quiet. Justin is sensitive and generous…Blake has not been. As a DV survivor I appreciate his direction and his acting. You all did great…and you all look bad not being as professional as he has been.
It rubs me the wrong way that when women speak out, its framed as petty gossip. This is the same treatment metoo got at first. Anytime women ask for accountbale, we're called catty and hysterical at first. I domt just "want to be part of something". I want accountability from people in position's of power, i want workplace bullying to end, and i want blake and Coho to come out and admit they messsed up. Justin was trying to fix a problematic book by giving it a subject matter appropriate tone, and they went out if their way to make sure that didn't happen. Apologize for it and the subsequent attempted smear campaign. It's not hard. Until that happens, people are gonna stay mad
Scarlett bouta get her karma in full swing 😂
It’s divine timing that she happened to drop that video and all this happened
She released it BECAUSE of the drama
@@Seraphina.Is. right. There’s no way she dropped an 8 yr old interview at the exact same time the public was turning on Blake.
If you listen to her interview, she slips up, but she's obviously not owning it
I'm on TeamJustinBaldoni but there's no chance she didn't plan that. Doesn't matter much, because Blake was rude and all, but at least own up to it!
@@xxmooshooxx It obviously didn't matter to anyone 8 years ago. So finally when people started realizing how problematic Blake is, she was probably reminded of this horrible moment in her career and decided to share. Why wouldn't she?
This was obviously planned. It dropped the same week everyone turned on Blake because of costumes. Yeah, that’s planned.
This is corny dude who cares if she's a crap person? Everyone in Hollywood is. They aren't your friends.
@@cynthiamorfin2137I love touching grass!
Honestly I find Ryan Reynolds SO overrated and I’m sick of him being shoved down our throats so I’m not mad about this if these 2 just go away.
Like he’s really not as funny and charming as he thinks he is.

seriously tho. i do not like Blake Lively and i feel terrible for that interviewer.
Aaahhh, she's not "private" person. She put herself out there! She's done enough to have a catalog of interviews and events and videos to show how condescending and elitist she is.
Brandon not tagging Justin is ick. He's speaking up now, when he didn't even do shit when he's doing those interviews with Blake lol
He’s trying to kiss Blake and Ryan’s asses because he knows they will help him forward his career
sounds like a social climber that only cares if it benefits him
I took it as, he’s specifically talking about the women of the cast so that’s who he tagged. 🤷♀️
@jordancagle1745 he's deliberately singling out Justin just like they did during the press conference. Brandon is a flying monkey.
@@jordancagle1745if he really wanted to end the drama he would've addressed both.
It's a badly planned PR move.
You’re so right! I’m so tired of people not taking women accountable for their actions
2:05 she’s like… “is this really happening right now?” I was waiting for her to do a Jim Halpert and just look at the camera like this 🙂
Team Justin Baldoni 🖤💙
Brandon always acts annoyed like nobody told you to be in the movie dude!!
right!! he's so annoying
@@nanomia YES! As if he was a kid who’s parents made him get a job and this is what he could get
brandons response feels like hes just trying to get women to rally together just because theyre women. like clearly the women arent promoting this right and people are rallying behind justin. also im not trying to make colleens books impact lesser. but her book basically romanticises DV and im not sure thats what someone in that position should be reading
This is such a fair point thanks for sharing.
Pro-sl? What’s that?

For me it's how she says it. Maybe if that phrase was uttered by someone else, I wouldn't have given it a second thought but Blake's way of saying it is sooo 9th grader.
It just makes me think she is the try hard of the year, desperately trying to be as "funny" as her husband

Her clothes are enough to cancel her. She doesn’t understand that less patterns is more.
I mean I feel like you already said it, she's married to one of the biggest stars in the world
Why is the guy addressing the issue instead of Blake or the author? In the interviews fhe guy looked so over it
She should have stayed a trophy wife to Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift's BFF. I think she tried to be known for something else other than gossip girl, and it backfired.

Blake lively is too old to be acting like a high school bully. She is very miserable
When De’Angelo Wallace said Blake deserves the backlash with a balanced argument, you know she deserves it
I am afraid Sklenar’s involvemment in this film along with his post may cancel him just as viewers have gotten a chance to appreciate his talent. JMHO

I felt like even the girl interviewing next to Blake tried lightening the atmosphere as best she could… til that face at the end. What is wrong with people/aka “influencers” & celebs?🤦🏼♀️
9:15 that whole post had me asking “ok so why are you saying this and why aren’t the women of the film (Blake) saying it?”
Her "love interest" is a PAID ACTOR!!!
And the cast siding with her is only because she is the more famous, powerful one in Hollywood ( due to her husband , its not any of her own doing) and think they can benefit from it
True. Hollywood is all about connections
"I wonder if they will ask men about the clothes"
"grab your besties and your florals!"
Brandon literally giving us a muted synopsis without even caring what the movie was about. Like really sounds like he could care less ...
Blake’s getting what she deserves.
How dare she promote alcohol when it’s directly connected to domestic violence… she’s IGNORANT AND SELF CENTERED
Blake went for Scarletts complaint when she was asked about her diet for the wardrobe but then switched it to “the men wear cool fits too”
Problem is the interviewer was genuinely congratulating on her pregnancy that Blake made public only recently back then. To immediately jump to conclusions and assume the interviewer is being “sexist” or whatever is ridiculous.
I cringe so hard every time i see that Interview blake and whoever the other girl is behavior is just so gross and i feel so bad for the women doing the interview

blake and ryan sent their newly acquired lapdog brandon to do damage control LOL hilarious.
I can almost guarantee the cast doesn’t like Justin because of Blake’s smear campaign and the power her family holds in the industry. Disgusting honestly
Maybe doesn't like is not it, but rather, are afraid to speak up for him because he isn't as well known. Because the cast are quiet unknowns themselves
A tip on deuxmoi said they are wooing the cast with producer introductions & the like. Just bullies.
it’s not even true that noone from the cast follows justin. kevin mckidd (also known from greys anatomy) and hasan minhaj (known from late night tv) who are both in the movie do. 🤷♀️
Trying to take over a movie you're only acting in stepping over the director and his vision for his movie just cause you are more rich and famous and think you can do what you want all of the time is really fucked up and shows what kind of person she is
Justin has earned my respect 100%
@@lhaigler1485Absolutely not. Art is not about did it make you feel something. There are rules that allow art to speak honestly without forcefeeding trauma porn onto people unfamiliar with book tok. I saw that yesterday it was disgusting!
Dang. His conversation with the audience was so genuine and kind. I genuinely love that as a victim of DV.
Same same same 😔
Props to the interviewer's production team, they kept an archive. Perfect.
I wonder how Ryan Reynolds acts behind the scenes too now.
It’s great that her PR team tried to cite pregnancy hormones as the cause for her bad behavior. So you were trying to stand up as a feminist but got called out for being rude then attempted to blame it on female problems?? lol
And brandon and that lame dissertation paper he wrote looked lost and dead in the eyes every interview barely could compute a sentence during the press run but has alot to say behind a screen when we know a A&R wrote this 😂
Never liked this woman, she is only relevant as Ryan Reynolds Wife, thats all, there was always something off about her.
I’m weak af Andy was totally stirring the pot when he asked what the movie was about on wwhl 😂😂😂😂
None of these women were empathic in interviews, no soul just cash grab
When they show you who they are believe them
Fr its wild that the man MAN is the one that I have seen go out of their way to make to subject matter of the film known and he is being punished for it
feels like the Twilight Zone 😬
I understand the cast siding with her, they only care about their career, if they destroy a man's reputation it's fine as long as they get more famous. The saddest part, is that if Justin didn't have such a good reputation, if it had been someone else, no one would have believed him and everyone would have sided with her
It's Blake who has trivialized the seriousness of what this movie is about.
She is promoting her alcohol label and brand and named one of the drinks after the abuser in the film. She is beyond tone death. She is being disrespectful now. There is no coming back from this at least for me.
Brandon needs to sit tf down. No, what's causing a distraction to the movie is Blake and Co.'s behavior. Miss me with that pisspoor excuse.
So DV is a “love story”… got it. 😬
It ends with her
I wish rude people knew the effect their person has on others. The fact she admits it damaged her for many years cost her to think she had made a mistake or she was not good enough and anxiety. Every time that she’s going to interview somebody. Horrible.
Totally. Even brief experiences can be mortifying and really stay with you.
How is “congrats on your little bump” from a literal woman offensive in any way😭
Agreed!!!!
So no one talks about Blake making fun of Catherine Middleton to then apologise when the latter disclosed to the world she's battling cancer.
Katt Williams was on point about 2024 🎯
the reporter just broke my heart/ she seems so sweet and genuine
Honestly I think the whole cast is just waiting to become friends with Taylor swift that’s why there on Blake’s side 😂💀
Blake Bumpppp 😂
Who would seriously want that 😂 look how she does her friends
I’m seriously so happy people are rallying behind this beautiful women’s side, the way Blake talked to her in the interview clearly she acts like she caught her being sexist or something. I’ve honestly never been a fan of her
Her Regina George energy is so strong.
What does Parker Posey have to say about that interview. Blake wasnt the only one who was rude it was made worse because Parker Posey joined in and basically encouraged the behaviour.
Also, re the statement of Brandon Sklenar… supporting women doesnt mean you should sacrifice your support for the male cast much less alienating them. You can do both
Normally I love Parker Posey, but whenever I see the video of her and Blake Lively I think, "Girl, what are you doing?"
