    I was wondering about the Newtons rating on the Walther site. They sell a guide rod with a 50N “rate”. That only comes out to be a little over 11 lbs. I thought that was light! But you explained it perfectly. Thanks! I still have the factory polymer guide rod in my Walther and it’s still working. But I really want your stainless guide rod. I’ll probably go with captured just for ease of install. I shoot 115 grain Blazer for practice/training and 124 gr +p HST’s and Gold Dots for carry. I’ll probably go with the 17 lb. spring.

    I ordered a 50N (11#) spring from Walther but it might be too light. But, I'm using reloads. After I experiment, I might get a 15# spring with uncaptured guide rod. Glad you said the Factory spring is 18.6#.

    So is 18.6 the spring force or spring rate ? Want to make sure I have this right. My PPQ Q5 Match has trouble ejecting some of my reloads.

    Trying to give my fg. 5in. polymer PDP a bit more weight, with less recoil, what would be the best one to purchase?

      If you want more weight in the frame and less recoil, look into our Ultra Mass line of guide rods. If you need more info, drop us an email or fill out the contact form on our website. Thanks!

    Any difference between a brass and stainless steel guide rod? Do you offer brass?

    Is there a advantage to using one over the other if the springs are the same?

    • @byronbranch4645
      @byronbranch4645 11 месяцев назад

      If you're so inclined..the advantage to uncaptured is you can change the poundage of the spring on a whim. Where as the captured ones are 15 and 13 lbs respectively. So if you have a 17 lb spring sitting around you couldn't use it unless you had an uncaptured rod

    Will you ever make a tungsten guide rod for the PDP? I’d love to see another company do it besides walther since their version is still 18lbs

      No the material is so expensive and it doesn’t make much difference
