I watched this with auto-generated closed captions because I'm in public and can't use sound, and it really reminded me how well you enunciate and how clearly you speak because there were literally no non-sensical errors in the captions. what a pleasant sound-off experience! p.s. I very much enjoyed this vid! just felt like I needed to acknowledge that even though it's not the main thing I'm trying to communicate in my comment 😁
I agree, I need to watch with CC as I’m hard of hearing and so often it’s crazy because people talk to fast or with so much slang it can’t understand the word!
A travel makeup kit is fascinating to see because it’s the distilled best of the best and each person is unique with their choices. What makes that final cut? I really enjoy this genre.
We need a Salt New York X HLP: Hannah's Old Gum Sneaky Balm because that color looks amazing!! Seeing this edited makeup in action was very satisfying and the look you came up with was stunning 😍
The blush you created is a complete mindfuck to me, how does it go from a muddy concrete color to the softest most natural flush ever ? It's beautiful.
I’m thinking of using the Salt New York color adjusters and white bases to mix a custom green color corrector. I would love to see you attempt this as well!
The blue adjuster is a warm blue on my skin, like some sort of dark cyan, which kinda surprised me since there are 2 yellow adjusters. May as well throw in a magenta adjuster. 🤓
I know it's a thing people do, when they say to take care of yourself, but I needed to hear that today. Thank you ❤️ I'm so happy I found your channel, you're so beautiful and full of good vibes.
I'd love to see a video once you are settled reviewing this makeup bag, and also what products you were most excited to return to after the three weeks!
You know what? I also want to acknowledge this huge life changed you are navigating . Not only the geographic shift, but the emotional weight of leaving your chosen family (even the exactly right decision for you can be a lot to hold). I hope that it all works our the way you hope or even better!💚
Haha I just gasped when you said you are moving to the DMV! I live in Arlington and the DC area is a great place to live...great restaurants, wineries nearby, intelligent/motivated people. I think you'll love it!
I have been soo busy with school that I didn’t realize you were moving to the DMV! DMV is what we call the DC metro area that consists of DC, Maryland and Virginia. I’m so excited for this!!!!!!
I'm so impressed by the amount of stuff you were able to fit in your makeup bag??!!! Also, every time you use the Tom Ford duo I get SO tempted to buy it and then have to reign myself back in 😭 Best of luck with your move, Hannah! I hope everything goes smoothly! 🥺
I just moved from NYC to Seattle and I definitely did a terrible job of separating my makeup into keep with me/pack for later/ get rid of lol. I was so stressed out and my brain wasn’t working 😭 I’m in even more awe of you!
Welcome to the DC area! I live in Maryland, but I’m moving to Scotland in the fall and your videos are really inspiring me to curate my makeup collection down to the essentials. Hoping I’ll be able to travel lighter and minimize stress during my move
I live in northern Va, near DC. Your videos really helped me focus on only buying things I truly love, and shop things I already have, during the pandemic. I find your videos really calming and can’t wait to see what you discover around DC! Welcome!!
Been living out of a suitcase between two houses for five years now, I have my makeup kit down to a 4"x3"x8" pencil case... But my needs are relatively few, so I'm intrigued to see what goes into an HLP emergency artistry go bag!
I am excited you are going to be on the East Coast now! Hope you love it! DC area is great... and that Babaa sweater your love so much will be coming in very handy ha! Happy moving! Can't wait to see your space. (on a sadder note, I hope your friend is also moving, her baby is going to miss you so much! Aunty Hannah! ♥️
Hi lovely! Have loved these past curation videos! I was watching you from a 3 week trip to Australia where I did a similar minimalist collection for the trip. I loved having a smalller edit and really got to know esch select.Knowing your vibe I think you will love the experience! Can’t wait to hear! Welcome to the East Coast! I am about 45 minutes or less from the greater DC area- you will love it ❤️
I much prefer this abbreviated version of your move. Have enjoyed the decluttering and makeup choosing for the trip. Safe travels to the east coast. Welcome!
As someone who also very recently moved (in January) to the D.C. area, I'm so excited to see what your experience is like! I'm discovering so many wonderful, delightful places, and your videos are always such a lovely, peaceful addition to my day.
how exciting! best of luck on the move. i miss beautiful springs in DC with the cherry blossoms in bloom. i have so many happy memories there and hope you will too. hope it’s a wonderful chapter for you both. 🤍
I completely understand what you mean by the blush! I also discovered that I’m a very pale olive after your skin tone/ undertone video. I once purchased a dior, limited edition blush that legit looks like a deep grey contour in the pan. I couldn’t believe it couldn’t be advertised as a blush. But guess what? I tried it on and it looks great on me! Gives me the same effect you have on your cheeks now. I couldn’t believe it worked and have regretted not getting more as it was limited edition.
I didn’t realize you were moving to the DC area! I’m in Maryland in work in Sterling, it’s a great area with great food and lots of different outdoor activities.
I'm from the DMV area, you'll love it! I miss it all the time, the only reason I left was because I'm on a single income and it's untenable from a cost of living standpoint. Can't wait to see your new background!
Hannah, oh my goodness. This look is one of the most flattering looks on you!! We all love collecting these beautiful things, but these videos are a reminder to me that the makeup I love best & reach for most could really function as my only products, and could deliver some of my most gorgeous looks. It doesn’t have to be super dramatic or colorful or bright and shiny: just choose the products which flatter me best and feel the best to wear. Good luck in your move, safe travels and I hope this chapter is a happy and exciting one for you and Joe and Miss Sadie! Welcome back to the east coast 🥰
I agree that your skin looks sooo good with just green color corrector. It’s amazing. It’s why I keep trying different ones, hoping that they will work their magic on me, too. I swear we have the exact same coloring, and yet….
I hope that your travels went well and you arrived safely in your new home. I really enjoyed this video! It gives me a good idea for doing this for when I go away, if even for a couple days.
For some reason I thought I remembered a Phytosurgence product making its way into your travel bag? I just received some additional Salt New York pans and your blush mixing video has me so inspired! I know I've already said it, but wishing you the best of luck and safe travels on your relocation, honey!
This glossier bag is very smartly designed with the insert and the compartments. Nice companion for a long trip and to not just jumble all your products
Gah, welcome back to the East Coast, Hannah! Not gonna lie...I have the tiniest of hopes that there will be a Hannah, Ted, Kackie adventure at some point in the future
Absolute best of luck with your move! I spent a lot of last summer enjoying planning and using my camping make up bag. I am rediscovering that same joy with your lovely travel make up. I’m looking forward to hearing more about your new location and your new chapter when you are more settled.
I am ordering the Salt New York shade adjusters that I don’t have so I can make your blush shade! We have similar coloring, I have a neutral basically gray undertone and I’m in love with that color!
The blush is lovely on you! Almost looks like the color of some contour products! Not bronzers, but greyish contouring products. It might be a fun experiment for you to try using products marketed for contour as blushes!
Artistically edited, beautiful look, and you are so calm for a move - impressed! I’m always such a chaos storm when I move. You are truly an inspiration to stay composed in the storm!
Great video, as always ❤️ i moved to another country some months ago so i totally understand the situation. Also i want to thank you so much for your ideas of not constantly buying new makeup, it's a huge refreshment. Before your channel i actually stopped watching makeup videos for few years because of just buy buy buy (use once and forget that you have it).... You influenced me so much into using and reusing the makeup i already have and being very well thought about what I need to buy or not. Unintentionally now I'm on almost no buy year(s) 😁🤗
Loved seeing the blush you made. It is great. Kiki must love it! All the best for the move! Experiencing "trickle down therapy" from you is so helpful. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Good luck with your move. I enjoyed this video. I’ve tried experimenting and putting my favorites in a makeup bag. I always end up just going back into my collection. I suppose they are all my favorites in their own way.
Congratulations on your move! I hope it went smoothly! I am a big fan of the Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass treatment for color correction but would be interested in trying other options. Looking forward to hearing your reviews.
Hannah, I wonder if because of your neutral blush creation you might like the trick of just using deeper foundation products as blush or bronzer. I am SUPER pink so I need a bronzer that is very cool toned. I started using my favorite foundation but in a deeper cool tone and it’s perfect. I wonder if there is an olive undertone foundation in a medium shade that you would like as blush. 🫒
Thank you for the idea! I'm very cool toned and pretty lightskinned. Bronzes, coppers, warm browns, etc. look dreadful on me. I've heard about using dusky mauve-grey eyeshadows for contour. I'll try your idea!
@@fourducksoriginal For me it was a game changer especially because I prefer liquid and cream products anyways. Let me know how it goes! And I feel you with the copper orangy tones looking dreadful. Same same same!
I'm looking to move this year so you've been a great inspiration to me to curb my make up obsession & to start homing things down to pack. Bon voyage ❤️😃❤️
Hannah, I am very particular about complexion brushes and I have been very happy with the It Cosmetics brushes--The It Cosmetics for Ulta line of complexion brushes is sometimes less expensive but identical quality. Very dense but never scratchy, lovely weight to the handle, extremely durable, I have had my main brush for 18 months and i have Honest to Gosh never seen a single bristle fall out or loose. Washes and reforms easily to new condition. My favorite and best looking method for applying my foundation, and for a gentle blending sometimes if things don't look smooth if I go back in with a lot more complexion products other ways and things do not look completely seamless.
I really really love the eye look you created here! I don’t have either of the products you used but I am inspired to shop my current makeup collection to try to replicate it. ❤️
I got the Victoria Beckham bronze eyeliner. It didn’t look great on me as an eyeliner; however, it is gorgeous as a one and done eyeshadow. It blends beautifully!
I’m moving also and all my stuff has been packed for 2 weeks now, the house we were gunna rent fell through, and our new apartment we can’t move into for another week and I’m like ahhhhhhh I want to use my makeup 😭
It was fascinating watching you create the custom lip color, but I couldn't help thinking it would be tough to touch up during the day! And boy, can you create a fabulous eye look with two shades!
I’m so excited for this! I’m going on vacation for three weeks during the summer, and as a notorious over-packer this is the inspiration I need. I also have that same Glossier bag, I just took the red insert out of it 😂
Sending you so much love, Hannah!! 💜 I pray that your travels were safe and fun and I am wishing you all the best with this new adventure!! I can’t wait for your next update!!! 🥰♥️
I’m wondering if that LA girl green concealer is the lighter shade of green. I think it’s called mint? I hated the other green color corrector I got from them, but it’s because I’m super pale and the version I initially got from la girl was a much darker green. So excited for your color corrector vid!
parasocial relationship issues aside, it's exciting you're coming to the EC. even tho I'm in Manhattan, I have a feeling that you'll visit Kackie in NJ one day. random: Sonia Kashuk's brushes are almost 'too good to be true'. never mind prices, which are so affordable, but they're legit good. I also have the Rephr brushes too. so i kinda know what type of brushes you use
I had this playing in the background while I selected makeup to pack for a long weekend in New Orleans. How I kept it minimal: Only2 lip colors, a gloss and a multi use pigment, that I can use all over the face. The multi use pigment is also my eye base for the two single shadows I packed (a gold and a burgundy). An eyebrow pencil, mascara, concealer, and pressed powder rounds things off! I have a go to look with all of these, with some variations that I can wear to different events or nights out
So you’re moving back to the land of humidity! I’m incredibly interested to see if/how your makeup and skincare routines change between LA and the east coast. Science. ✌️🖤 safe travels, y’all.
So excited for you!! I’m also in the greater DC area -let me know if you’re interested in any recommendations on places to see and restaurants to try :)
I’m loving your use of creams and judicious use of powder! And your k]makeup looks divine. The green colour correctors - I’m confused. They are all ‘mint’ being green with a hefty dose of white (some less than others as you note) but they are not olive and are not transparent enough to correct without masking on deeper skin tones. This is where I hope salt New York goes - we need a transparent corrector for olive skins which also corrects red. I am pale olive but cannot use the correctors you’ve demonstrated as they look like mint green ghostly paint on me. Olive skin needing correctors are a whole new challenge especially in pale tones!
I wish there was more products specific for us olive gals! I once had my makeup done by a professional who were shocked how pink and red everything looked on me 😅 I'd love to try that blush, looks great!
When you're settled ... Could you tell me which Static nail colour that is? I'm just supposing it's Statics - you've gotten me totally hooked too! I love that colour 😍
I don’t know if you’ve explored this but I decided I love the Patrick Ta brow laminator a bit more than the Refy, but I do like them both. Good luck on your travels:)
This is so weird but since you’ve announced that you’re moving, I just had a feeling that it’d be in the DC area, which is so exciting to me because it’s such an underrated, awesome place! I’ve lived in the DC/Alexandria area for most of my life and dc has so much culture and good food and cool people (albeit horrible traffic). So excited for you! And let me know if you ever want any recommendations or a new dc buddy😉

Only2 lip colors, a gloss and a multi use pigment, that I can use all over the face.
I'm looking forward to see you in your new space 😊
What do you use as skin care before any color corrector or foundation because your skin looks beautiful glass like skin please!
it's been a bit random lately because of the move, but once I get a solid routine again I'll film an update!
@@HannahLouisePoston Thanks that’ll be awesome!...Congrats on your marriage!
When you're settled ... Could you tell me which Static nail colour that is? I'm just supposing it's Statics - you've gotten me totally hooked too! I love that colour 😍
it's Havana!
I don’t know if you’ve explored this but I decided I love the Patrick Ta brow laminator a bit more than the Refy, but I do like them both. Good luck on your travels:)
Whoo hoo! The DMV is excited to call you ours. Safe travels. And let us know if you have questions for fellow area beauty gurus.
