There’s something poetic about this scene, when Lauda almost died and fighting for his life in the hospital, he might be alive but he’s dying inside watching his number one rival win race after race..but when he went back to the track at first there’s fear and doubt in his mind and eyes and for a split second, he finally realized that his life belongs to the track..the speed and adrenaline are the one that truly made him feel alive..one more time. Rest well, Niki. We salute you.
I remember a quote from (I think) Casey Stoner after he retired from MotoGP, it was about motorbikes of course, but I think it still applies. It goes something like this: It's what we live for and we accept the risks, but when you are on the grid waiting for the green light you wish you could be anywhere in the world except there. I think this movie somehow managed to portrait what he meant.
This scene made me cry because I have followed F1 since a kid and Niki is one of my idols. Zimmer made the best movie soundtrack I heard.
No, it didn't. Stop acting weaker and think you'd get affection and attention for it

He impressed the crowd with self pity and courage, but he fooled himselves with the pursuit for success.

LAUUUUUUDDDAAA!!!!
Correct me if I am wrong, I thought Lauda suffered damaged tot the eye retina from the fire?
It mostly wasnt his eye. His tear ducts and eyelids were singed, meaning they watered exessively, and he could not blink.
Can somebody please tell me the soundtrack name at 3:24 please???
