Hi +mavfan1. The updates certainly make improvements. Our main love of this product is its value. The Metabones mark IV units have become a industry standard.
I have tested MC11 EF-E adapter with A7R 1st generation, it is not working well even in basic AF. I have realized the A7 first gen does not support PDAF(Phase Detection Auto Focus) which MC-11 requires. MC11 works good in A7 II generation because it supports PDAF.
shamanth k it's working with selected sigma lenses, I have a6000 plus mc-11 and canon 70-200, everything is working fine except AF but for me it's not a problem.
That's the trick, the mc-11 adapter AF is slow on the a7 and the a6000 because they have not gotten the firmware update required to allow the mc-11 to AF as fast as on the other Sony a series e-mount cameras.
I can not get my MC-11 to AF in video mode on my Sony A7II using my canon 50MM f1.8 lens, is this normal?, what do i need to do to get the AF working as it does on my sony lens but with my canon lenses ?
+Christopher Smith Hi works perfectly with the Sigma lenses we have tested. Haven't tried Canon lenses but keen to give it a try, will test and let you know
Most of the best new Sigma lenses are made exclusively for APS-C sensor. So the full frame Sony a7 series will use only the 40% of its sensor size. Of course the APS-C Sony a6300 won't have a problem. Be careful sigma and Metabones adapters use all their features only with specific lenses. If you don't have these lenses don't spent 400$ or 200$ on these adapters. A simpler much cheaper adapter with electronic contacts will do the job equally good. For example a Commlite at 60$. Metabones and Sigma are doing reverse engineering with each EF or EF-S mount lens in order to make it fully compatible. Sigma adapter has the advantage with sigma lenses. However not even the half of sigma EF or EF-S lenses are supported by sigma adapter.
As manual adapters without the AF they will be pretty similar. Only controlling aperture and no Glass elements. The Sigma is very well built and considerably cheaper
To anyone that has the MC-11 and an a7r camera: please check out my Google Doc and update with your own experience so we can build a comparability list! docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Q-CA1PUbEEn1H7CPP-9im3uwZi7Em-wTXo9ds5DyXHo/edit?usp=sharing

I'm very happy with the metabones on my A7ll with the canon 70-200 2.8 since the update in November.

A very useful video. thank you so much!
Cannot make AF work with My A7R + Canon 50mm f1.4 setup (upgraded firmware adapter) ? Any idea if is a problem with A7R1?
¿El sigma mc-11 trabajan con el foco en los ojos?
Gracias buena crítica. Cómo funciona en Ojos de enfoque?
Will the shots still be in full frame or will it convert it to crop?
Does not affect the crop of the lens/camera. This unit has no optical elements
Did you try the Eye AF capability of the Sony A7Rii ?
Will MC-11 work with my Sony A7? I am planning to use my Canon 50mm 1.8 with it

can u shoot video in full frame mode without vignetting or does it make u shoot in aps-c mode to fix that?
+djbjlive. Full frame lenses = full frame, APS-C lenses you will need to shoot in APS-C mode
Thank you so much for this video!
+Destina Bartley No problem, really glad it was useful
Do you happen to know if the 5 axis stabilisation work with the adapter and Sigma lenses? Thanks!!!
Aj Ramírez yep it does
Wow, I couldn't find any video online where I could see it working. Thanks!!
