Fun Fact: I GOT A BOY won the 1st ever Video of the Year from RUclips Music Award and beating popular Western Artist during its time (2013). 🎉
Some comments say those which voted online for I Got A Boy that time were not only the Sone fans, but most likely the other 2nd gen Kpop fandoms as well which made the big voting gap between 1st to 2nd place. It's like a representative of Kpop Music when it's not yet that acceptable in the U.S market. And if you want some proof, watch the 2013 Dream Concert where SNSD performed the last songs with I Got A Boy & The Boys. They reunited all fandoms that attended that annual concert.

I Got A Boy is such a brain scramble on the first listen. Such an iconic song.
In Girls' Generation's "I Got A Boy", when Jessica says "Don't stop, let's bring it back to 140", we NOT ONLY go back to the part of the song that is 140 bpm, BUT ALSO that original 140 bpm section starts at 1 minute 40 seconds into the song. As such, 140 has 2 meanings behind it.

Gonna give it to SNSD. I Got A Boy was the peak change up song at that time, everybody was literally screaming the "I Got A Boy" Hook everywhere. That's why the NMIXX MixxPop was not even weird sound for me.

GIRLS' GENERATION ALL THE WAY
I Got A Boy is a K-pop classic. It literally turned the industry on its heels and into the whole genre-mixing direction. The concept of the song becomes evident with the lyrics. It's a collection of stories, all about women who've each 'got a boy' and have different struggles with him. Every flow change is a new story. So, yes, I vote GG.
The trouble with recommending GG songs is that their must-watch biggest hits come from 2007-2010, so the visuals and graphics might not match up to newer releases. But, I'd rather we just get a chance to have you watch the older, more legendary songs in the remaining match-ups, even if they lose for being old. So, I recommend GG's Gee (2009) against IVE, and GG's Into The New World (2007), incase they go to the final. Fun fact: These 2 are literally THE most iconic Kpop songs of all time. Gee has been named the Best Kpop Song by Rolling Stone, and ITNW is known as the (unofficial) national anthem of Kpop.

No question Girl's Generation!! While not my favorite song by them, it's a classic.
I got boy is part of the genre of SM entertainment which is SMP (SM Music performance) songs that fall into the SMP genre are Next level aespa and songs from nct 127 etc.
JYP makes music like mixpop because it is inspired by songs from SM which literally use the SMP genre

that's why after so many songs they had been heard so far, i was paused it for a minute when they said mixpop or something when it was/is SM, which includes many of their groups did many key changes in their songs, like they are the OG.

AOA and Girls Generation/SNSD are total different genres, If you looking for sexy/classy/band style music AOA are the queens, but you want real Girl pop/ awsm vocals, SNSD are literally the top queens of kpop for that! Both are great in their own ways!

Lion Heart, Dancing Queen, or Genie could be used against IVE, and Into The New World should be used against NMIXX, if GG proceeds to the final battle.
It would be great to see a vintage-inspired GG-IVE battle and a dark-versus-light NMIXX-GG battle.
I don't recommend Dancing Queen because it's a remake of Mercy by Duffy.

The song was originally intended for both Duffy and Girls' Generation. The South Korean girl group was supposed to make a comeback with Dancing Queen in 2008. However, Duffy ended up releasing it first, and it became a hit. As a result, SM Entertainment changed their plans and delayed the girls' comeback to 2009 with the song Gee.
After a lengthy dispute over copyright, SM Entertainment finally received the go signal in late 2012 to use Dancing Queen, but as one of the tracks on the I Got A Boy Full Album. Its music video was also used as an introduction to the I Got A Boy MV.
