    Thank you! My son has a hard time hearing the cello part while listening to the Suzuki cd. This is so clear! I know it took an investment of time for you to do these videos -- I appreciate it!

    I have such a hard time with string crossings from the A string to the D string. I almost always hit both strings, especially playing the C and D note on the A.

    • @MattGenders
      @MattGenders  3 месяца назад

      Totally understand that. Sometimes practicing right hand alone on open strings helps- and lots of slow practice!

    Why is the bow hold so different

    • @MattGenders
      @MattGenders  4 года назад +5

      Great question! Everybody's hands are a little different, so no two bow grips will look exactly the same. The most important part of the bow grip is pronating the hand so the index finger is able to uphold the weight of the arm. In this particular piece I use a firmer hand grip to help with clarity on the marcato. Hope this helps!

      Appreciate the way you play it at a moderate tempo, that you just okay without a long intro and that you are filmed in a way so that your posture and positioning is clearly visible. All exceptionally helpful for a beginner student. Thank you.

    My 5 year old thinks this is Perpetual Motion and not Etude.
