Are they going to make a telescopic hedge trimmer

I doubt it. Makita produces 2 so called "long reach hedge trimmers", one with an articulating blade and the other with a fixed blade.. Why they don't use a telescoping system from their pole saw on a hedge trimmer is beyond me. That being said, the reach is great and I was rarely left wanting for more.
