Now with that said I think that fact some people overlook and hence why they crap on him in ways that shouldn't be he isn't a character to underestimate and though I don't expect him to be the final boss he is absolutely obviously one of the final bosses with how many years he's been built up as one of luffy's greatest enemies. One thing people seem to forget is that after the introduction of Haki everyone had been given a natural buff to make up for the power gap. Ace, Smoker, Jinbe and Yamato probably were relative in strength at one point, Smoker just got unlucky against Law, Jinbe had to fight his way out of WC and fought Who Who to get where he is now and Yamato has been training her whole life to free Wano from Kaido. If Ace was still alive he'd probably be on Yamato's level maybe higher.

Even since Ace vs Doflamingo video there was that mistake in calcing Doflamingo, where people were saying that G4 Luffy outpassed Doflamingo which completly wrong, since Doflamingo wasn't stabalized after Law's gamma knife and if we refere to anime which has the same canonic power as Ace novel according to points presented in this video the only reason why Doflamingo missed that Leo Bazooka feat which author presented as "Luffy is outpassing Doflamingo" is because he got distracted by pain as side effect of gamma knife which made Doflamigo lose concentration (just like Author seperated old WB who was blitzed by no name marines during his heartattack and stabalized WB, the same can be told about Doflamingo), in his regular state he could match G4 in speed and even pushed Luffy back. But what makes it espesially biased is that talking about Ace confronting admirals he mentions Ace's bad shape after all, even though Ace never received any damage comparable to the amount of damage Doflamingo took before facing G4. So Ace's inability to stand to Akainu and ability to nullify Kuzan's ice due to elemental advantage just don't scale Ace somehow higher than Doflamingo in terms of power, especially seeing how Doflamingo broke the same ice of Aokiji without any elemental advantage

Pre time-skip almost had every relatively strong character look weaker because of the new concept of haki, which then add to force older characters that should've never lost to Luffy gain increase of feats/showings. Ace had no time to actually show the sort of flashy feats of haki or power, he detured a fight against Smoker so obviously you ain't going to just through out the heavy stuff in that fight. The whole bb fight isn't an anti feat it just upscales bb and we didn't see most of the fight, then being able to clash with admirals when fatigued is only a massive W for him. We see how he does similar credible feats as the other WB Yonko commanders like Jozu and Marco do whilst they're healthy. I'm not saying Ace is above Marco but people were hyping Marcos feats against his respective admiral fight so why should Ace when in a worse state to fight not be given the same credibility? There's a lot of things that point to the Ace novel being canon, in the very least in how it handles powerscaling: - the main series also has Jinbe and Ace tying and as you mentioned, it's stated that Ace basically has unparalleled growth which means Marineford Ace>>>> Marineford Jinbe. - The manga does have Ace fighting equally with cuffed Yamato. While we don't have a direct scale comparing Yamato from several years ago to now, it still winds up being impressive considering cuffed Yamato could temporarily one tap transformed Ulti. - Ace being invited to join the warlords happened in both manga and novel. - As mentioned, despite being weakened and tortured Ace could temporarily stalemate Aokiji's ice. It's also stated that Akainu overpowered Ace because of fruit superiority, not haki superiority. While this doesn't mean Ace is admiral level or has armament comparable to Akainu, it does lend credibility that fruit superiority was the biggest factor in Akainu overpowering him. - Ace vs Blackbeard in the manga was stated by to be a fight where not even the BB Pirates knew who would be victorious. This same BB would go on to take several attacks from Marineford WB (similar attacks damaged Akainu) and not die. Again, not saying that Ace= Admirals but there is enough evidence to suggest that the Ace Novel's powerscaling is legit and that both novel and manga put Ace in the upper tier of commanders.
Putting BB relative to Akainu based on that is kinda eh,imo. Akainu took the strongest attack WB could muster up and didn't even get knocked up. Even the injury wasn't all that. 1:22 technically ALL vice admirals not named Garp are extremely weak for their rank. Think about it this way. If admirals are almost as strong as yonko and even the strongest yonko commanders are generally ALOT weaker than Yonko/Admiral level. And even average Yonko commanders can at least fight on par with, if not outright beat characters like Doflamingo who in turn was able to take down smoker pretty easily(Smoker is arguable one of the stronger vice admirals as he has both haki and a Logia devil fruit). A vice admiral is only 1 rank below the admirals, yet most of them are borderline fodder at this point in the story. If a yonko was 100, an admiral for be 95, top yonko commanders would be 80, vice admirals(other than Garp) would be 40-50(at best)
Ace novel is no doubt canon, specially with the recent chapter when ace revealed to be offered warlord posistion by wg! We can't use certain things in ace novel as canon then ignored other info on it! Everything on it is canon since its ace pov through his journey!

You make a mistake while explaining canon as you conflate it with continuity. This is a very common mistake, so it isn't a big deal. Basically when it comes to feats, canon just describes what can happen. Continuity describes what actually happens. In other words, something that is canonical isn't necessarily continuous, but something continuous must be canon. And non-canon things not only didn't happen, but can't happen.
I don't really take novel feat serious it wasn't written by Oda. Sure Oda supervised it. He just gave the guy that wrote it the important plot points to go through. If u give me the plot points, I can write up a story and Buff the powerscaling to sky too.

IMO currently;

Ace> Jinbe high
Croc>Ace mid-high
Boa>Ace mid

You make a mistake while explaining canon as you conflate it with continuity. This is a very common mistake, so it isn't a big deal. Basically when it comes to feats, canon just describes what can happen. Continuity describes what actually happens.
In other words, something that is canonical isn't necessarily continuous, but something continuous must be canon. And non-canon things not only didn't happen, but can't happen.

I don't really take novel feat serious it wasn't written by Oda. Sure Oda supervised it. He just gave the guy that wrote it the important plot points to go through. If u give me the plot points, I can write up a story and Buff the powerscaling to sky too.
