India's updated NDC signals a 10-12 percentage-point increase in its emissions intensity target for 2030 - from 33-35% to 45% below 2005 levels. Other targets include a 50% share of installed capacity for electricity derived from non-fossil energy sources, up from 40% in the first NDC
