I have visited one of these towers in mendon mass went inside to talk to a fire watch attendant, that was pretty cool back in 1989 or so.
I visited the Sharon tower in early 1990s near Moose Hill Audubon Society woodland. This video prompted said visit.
Went up to a fire tower a few years ago, it is kind of surprising how not much the spotting has changed besides updates in technology.
The Wrentham MA line with RI remains much like seen in this video.
