  • Woodturning Tutor, Colwin Way, shows you how to turn, paint, and finish a series of fishing lures that can be either used or framed as ornaments. Colwin will turn the lure from a piece of lime before priming with white paint. He’ll use various airbrushing techniques to give scale effects. You’re sure to be hooked on woodturning after this one!

While watching another of your turning videos I scrolled through the comments and saw one talking about fishing lures. I also enjoy fishing so I immediately went to the channel and found the two lure videos. I am hooked! 😊 🐠
    Thanks for your time.

Fishing is definitely not my thing, but this demonstration was full of the usual enthusiasm and interest - so much so that I may even make some lures just for fun. Many thanks.

In my opinion poplar and pine are the best to make lure of. I live in US and I get my wood at the local hardware store and wood working store.
