P2 EP has got to be the first persona game i legitametly cried at (the lyrics of "Change your way" didn't help either) as funny enough alot of P2's themes felt like stuff i was going through at the time and at the end of the game i felt like i was able to move past what was bothering me. P2 is probably my favorite persona game by far (with P5R's 3rd semester and P3 being tied)
Persona games make you forget about reality and emmerse yourself in an escapist fantasy. Eternal Punishment makes you realise you're an adult and the real world is a dark place, but it teaches you to face it.
@@ahmedbenkhalfallah6502Persona 2 hits top clpse to home for me. Just like Ulala I have been in abusive relationships and got swindled for money as well. Got to abandon my dreams in order to work to eat and try getring content with what I have like Katsuya. Got an asshole boss like Maya and am a chain smoker like Baofu(actually trying to wuit but is hard af) The only one I don't connect much is Tatsuya.
TAKE YOUR LIFE TAKE IT IN YOUR HANDS STARTING FROM TODAY ITS ALL YOURS BRING THE SUNSHINE OUT AND BLOW THE CLOUDS AWAY THE WORLD IS WHAT YOU WANT STARTING FROM TODAAAAAAAY
Spoiler Hopefully the original tatsuya can become happy. All he mentioned was that they (original eikichi, ginko and jun) needed to rebuild the city. I'm guessing all the inhabitants survived while the whole world got destroyed and there's no Maya.
@@michaelreyes9283 wait wasn't it implied that eikichi, ginko and jun moved to the EP timeline because they've all complied to their promises? it was Tatsuya who didn't because he refused to forget and his "Eternal Punishment" as a result was to live in that destroyed world forever (while his friends moved to the new timeline without him) which is pretty sad if you ask me
@@Windermed I'm not sure, I remember him mentioning that they will rebuild that world. I don't know if that is referring to the group or just the remaining humans. Though I do like your theory more, it makes it more sad but more impactful as to the choice he made
funny enough Innocent Sin credit is cheerful but depressing. This one sounds depressing but lyrics are cheerful and positive. Matching the bittersweet ending.
its amongst my most replayed Persona games, while its a continuation of IS it can stand on its own, its characters and story are strong and it uses a lot of symbolism and Jungian Psychology, highly recommend trying to play it (with original soundtracj if you are playing the PSP one) Legit an underrated JRPG
@@ahmedbenkhalfallah6502 I might play it once, if I have a PS1 or PSP and a game copy. Also, when I meant the theme, I actually meant the story theme. Since P2EP is about the difficulties of being an adult.
@@tylergamerphung Yes thats why i said it is strong and good when it comes to characters and symbolism. That game has a lot of meaning and depth to it and its also really good gameplay and difficulty wise

This song saved me, I owe it so much.
"Make you feel you've achieved something you can call your own. I'm here to show you that you're not alone no"
P2 EP definitely have the best ending for classic trilogy.
I just finished it and I cried like a baby then laugh it off with your video tysm
i swear to god this game became one of my favorite games of all time...
I still remember the day I finished it
THIS ENDING IS FLAMES
Is this the actual outro? If so I think this groovy ass outro from the 90s/early 2000s makes it all the more depressing
This is indeed the end credit song for Persona 2 Eternal Punishment

Yeah this is accurate. Man I love Eternal Punishment
Same feelings here.
Also with Persona 3 Portable ending.
😢😢😢
EP is the best persona game (Story wise) we need a remake of 1 and the 2 duology fr
I heard a rumor that Persona 2 will be a remake after Persona 3 Reload is released, while waiting for the Persona 6 Teaser Trailer announced by Atlus

I feel P2EP has the best theme, ngl (despite I didn’t play that game, only watched it from reviews)
