      Simmons is probably working on it. However, it might not be at the point where he feels confident enough to use it in games. If he develops a 3 point shot, it will unlock his game tremendously.

      @@ignorantpost6051 And how much "some time" will take? It was clear he needs a shot since the day he came to the league. Which was what, 3 or 4 years ago? And during that time we haven't seen even marginal improvements? No worries though, it seems Sixers are content waiting for 10 more years, I'm sure it wont be too late.

    Rondo was absolutely excellent last night, aggressively looking for his shot or to drive (for him anyway) unlocked the old version of Rondo, where people have to respect him and that opens up the court for his vision. He had become too easy to ignore and that meant the players he would normally pass and the lanes that pass would need to travel through would be packed with an extra defender. It's amazing what a small adjustment can do for a players game, he took 10 years off last night.

      Bull Fc yea but its different, the volume they took them and still won is mindblowing. They missed so many but still had a demanding lead on the heat. I caught the butt end of the game so if these 3’s were open and were simply just missed, they would have been able to break the finals scoring record. If these 3’s were just dumb and contested Id agree with you.

    they were using triangle offense concepts to completely dismantle and destroy the Heat's zone. So often they'd have a man establish position in the middle with guys on the wing or top of the key and the corner to initiate the offense with the formation of the triangle, and then they would move off ball to constantly form the triangle, using ball movement and player movement that results from running it to destroy the zone defense.

      Honestly, compared to the previous videos, this one was very solid. Showed how the Lakers attacked the zone and also pointed out how Rondo really adds another gear for them. Even tho you can't bank on on Rondo/Kuzma hitting rhythmless 3s every game, this was a much better breakdown. And yes, the Heat definitely aren't going away.

    This is why nothing should be taken for granted. Lebron talked about the 2011 Finals and how that series changed. The Heat definitely fought but the injury bug just had to happen. Finally Playoff Rondo is getting some attention. Love the pave he plays with when he comes in. PGs like him don't come around often.

    'A BIG NO NO!'... love it! keep calling out those travels coach, it's important.
    rondo is like one of those deception artists.
    during season he shoots the ball bad intentionally, so that when it really matters in the playoofs everybody gives him space.
    then he gives you playoff rondo. he truly is a magician...

    All I'm gonna say is that it's very rare to find other players who understand ball movement and freeze dribbles. Every time I stand holding the ball waiting for people to cut, screen or even move it just leads to them passing the ball to me even less. Especially if I go mid to high post against a zone.

    Crowder and Bulter are the FORWARDS, not the guards. The special thing about heats' 2-3 zone is they put forwards as the front 2.

    • @roochiecooch
      @roochiecooch 4 года назад

      Special? That setup is what is causing them to get beat so much worse on the boards. The zone in general means no one is boxing out. The Heat out shot the Lakers percentage wise which means the rebounds are the reason they lost. So I wouldn't call the zone special.

    • @HongXuFelix
      @HongXuFelix 4 года назад

      @@roochiecooch normally the guards are in the front for the zone aren't they? Heats put Butler/Crowder/Iguadala in the front to utilize their athleticism and mobility and the white guards in the back so that they don't have to guard against the ball. You are right it didn't work well because Adebayo is out and they can't get the rebounds. If 'special' isn't the right word to use I can switch to 'nontraditional' or 'different'.

    Frank Vogel and Lakers coaching staffs are actually doing a great job on setting up Lakers team defense. Also, despite the fact that AD is playing a huge role on Lakers both end, there's not enough credit paid to Lakers guards(rondo, KCP, Green, Caruso) on defense which help them to went through offensive slump.

    The starting Lineup should have Myers and Hill. With Olynik the defense and rebounding is non existent. With Herro starting Olynik and Nunn need to be the offensive sparks off the bench
