Some of the other comments have the name; it's a short film from 1946 called Ritual in Transfigured Time, directed by Maya Deren, who was an experimental/independent filmmaker (she also plays the character shown at the very beginning of the video)

Loscil--quite simply, the best. I saw a quote from the artist, apologizing for charging admission from an audience that came to watch him fiddle with his laptop, listening to music--the very same music--they already had at home or in their cars. I've often wondered why people would subject themselves to that, except perhaps to support the artist. But why not just an autograph session or a fund-raiser? Post-rock needs to find appropriate venues for this kind of interaction between the artist and the audience, without the silly hypocrisy of paying admission to listen to your own phone.
