Good thing is that you can disassemble the original frame. Later models came as one round frame pressed on the glass. So you would have to cut the frame carefully to get the glass out and stick it into a new Aluminum frame.
Hello eric, great videos. I must have lost my mind or financial literacy because i am thinking of buying and importing a Spanish RR classic (preferably pre-1990, TDI engine). Do you know anyone in Oklahoma who has owned one of these and what their experience has been?
I've seen two TDI Discos but not a RRC. The guy I know who has seen the most Landies is Mickey Weatherly at Mickey's Garage in Norman Oklahoma. I know people put Mercedes engines in RRCs and have watched a few videos of that transformation.

I did not know that. I do have my original frame with intact glass. Good to have a spare.
