This is literally the exact same thing that happened to me. I had been a Samsung user for 10 years and finally bit the bullet and switched over to iPhone 13 Pro when it was released, got myself an Apple Watch Series 7 Nike Edition, as well as AirPods Pro. It's been a couple months and I've been loving the change so far, iOS is just so much fluid all around. No regrets for me.
I missed android when I switched and still do. But if Android and ios seem to be converging in design philosophy, iphone might be better due to the chipset.

I'm having the same dilemma on switching from pixel to iphone due to the perks of the pixel (especially the unlimited google photo storage) but when it comes ecosystem and longevity, no one beats apple.
Ya same happened with me, I already had an iPhone and iPad but I was planning to get S22 Ultra and galaxy watch with free galaxy buds but then just because of software longevity I dropped the idea of switching to android and instead I bought watch series 7 and AirPods Pro.

I'm really eyeing the Pixel 6 as a successor as well and I don't really see that many downsides to it (taking into account the little research I've done so far), so it would be nice to hear what you think. Thanks mate! Well for me, Pixel 6 was the more exciting phone, and IMO nothing beats the Pixel when it comes to photography, especially in low-light. But based from the reviews, Google hasn't hit the mark yet. Plus, Pixels aren't sold officially in the Philippines, so I could only buy one from the gray market, meaning no warranties and support. It also didn't help that Pixel is not yet allowed to connect to my country's 5G band, because Google isn't selling it here yet. On the other hand, the iPhone, IMO, is a boring phone. But what I was looking for in a phone last year wasn't excitement anymore. It's reliability, consistency and longevity, and the iPhone seems to have more of that. It's also officially sold here, and therefore has warranty and support. It also didn't hurt that it plays with my Macbook well, AirDrop is just 👌. I really didn't want to leave Pixel, my friends can attest to that haha. 4 years ago, I actually remember saying that my next phone will be the 6. But after much deliberation, I saw that an iPhone can better provide what I need in a phone right now. Sorry for the long post mate haha, but thanks so much for asking! I understand and generally agree with your concerns about the Pixel6, especially the fact that it's not being sold in SEA yet cause I'm from SG, haha. Though the point about reliability and consistency still stands, I'm more of a PC guy still so I guess we'll see if just having a smaller ecosystem consisting of an iPhone and my iPad Pro is enough to bring me over to Apple. It’s true that android has way more freedom and more features but tbh no one uses them (at-least not daily) basically most of them are just gimmicks. I can say that because I had S21 Ultra that I used for almost 3-4 months and then I had to sell it because of bugs and bad software optimisation. So if you’re looking for a smartphone that can last you more than 4 years then you should consider getting an iPhone, also in case of tablets then there is not a single android tab in the market that is as good as iPad is and same goes for Watch and AirPods. In short, Apple has better ecosystem and better offerings also software is much cleaner and 5 years of software upgrades.
As much as I enjoy the build quality of Apple devices, at least at a consumer level, not getting into the sweatshop chatter, I just hate that the OS is so limited. I couldn't side load apps without a stupid 7 day login each time, or even have an ad blocker on RUclips, or perhaps finding a great app that isn't available in the app store, and I can't just install it without jumping through so many pathetic loop holes, I switched to a £200 Android device and has a better screen, 120hz refresh rate, expandable memory and can download apks to my heart's content.
