Imho, what makes that crooning/vibrato sound sexy is that the lyrics and tune are mellow but the 'crooning' sound is subliminally lustful. It's low-key primal. Lol.

Objectively, they could be one of these: 1) Hung-up on the original that they won't let go of the sentiments it evoked 2) They were 'stirred' there and are resenting it because they're expecting 'puppy love feels' and what they got was strawberry champagne and chocolates. Strong stuff. LMAO.
