I mean he has incredible ball control in terms of serving it always goes the exact area he wants but in terms of power Ushijima surpasses that and Astumu probably comes close but when it comes to consistency with that power and control no one can really touch that, he’s probably one of the best if not the best server in Haiykuu.
Daichi is such an incredible serve receiver that he was able to take one of oikawa's diabolical serves ( oikawa has excellent ball control that's why nishinoya was not able to receive - I think he probably moves on instinct and Daichi reads form so he was able to take ushijima serves as he has overwhelming power + southpaw not ball control ).)You can tell that only some ( probably yaku ) can take it . I possibly think not in the entire miyagi prefecture. . . . . Or it was just plot armor😅😅😅.
It seems to me that there is still a moment when psychology played a strong role. Nishinoya is like a beast, even in the most difficult moments he relies on his instincts. Daichi doesn't have the same genius abilities, but he is much more thoughtful and level-headed, which allows him to stay focused and not miss details (like reading the shape of an attacker's body while jumping). and he also has a very developed sense of responsibility for the team, so it is at such a moment that he can release his maximum. in general, I think that he was able to take this ball precisely because he is the captain. not by ability but by quality
@@cheaps-with-salt yes , it makes sense but I am talking about serve receives not defending , even during 3 on 3 tanaka mentions it and he is also decent with jump floaters. But as you said nishinoya is a beast as he doesn't really gets scared in the most intense situations so he just goes for it which makes his reaction time very less for instance during shiratorizawa daichi gets scared but nishinoya just goes for it ( It's just like oikawa said for kageyama , I mean even in real life sports even doing a minus tempo is kind of miracle and he just fucking stops his sets in front of hinata while keeping his accuracy and speed on par with the first one and when ukai himself asks him whether he can do it or not and he instantaneously replied yes he can do it . I know it's an anime but when I saw it for first time only one thought came in my mind is it really possible even for a single time in real world. I have seen decent minus tempo( the first freak quick ) sets on RUclips and many volleyball professional says that it's technically possible but that second quick was otherworldly) and he himself said that atsumu was the first person to make him scared while receiving ( ofcourse anyone would be . Inarizaki really has so much beasts that from outside you will really think how to take them down ). Considering your psychological point of view I think receiving serves always requires level headedness ( even more when someone have like a monster ball control and can place wherever he wants to) whereas while defending your reaction time really plays an important part. I am using analogies because kageyama , hinata( while not that skilled up until now ) and nishinoya follows the same approach while playing. Ofcourse I am considering what kita said that the difference between players like kageyama and other people is that their way of trying is broader than everybody else and they also work on perfecting those but what nishinoya did or does was something on that level - It is possible but pulling it off during a match is really something special.
That 2nd serve, he was still in the air when the ball hit the ground 😭
Kageyama did the same in s4
@@lubitelshocolada nah not as fast as Oikawa did, r u blind?
@@youthe1255 no one said it was faster than oikawa's lol
That Shout he makes right after delivering the first diabolic serve🔥🔥🔥
Oikawa has the best serves in this anime. We can all argue about the best setter but in terms of powers in serving,no one is damn near as powerful

@@adrielcruz2736 true.Ushiwaka serves are pretty powerful and Atsumu also has great control over it
