Can anyone explain the purpose of the bolt inside the spring? 10:04 Maybe one or all the following: 1. Not having a masonry bolt? 2. Creating a removable masonry bolt? 3. Enlarging a bolt that is too small?
I have been stopped at this same point for a couple of minutes or more. Rewinding and rewatching n now skimming the comments for an answer to this question. Glad I'm not the only one, but sadly no answer yet.
@@SaneAsylum Oh, yes, regular factory-made rubber bands were available --- we were just very indigent at the time, so it was a free way to get adequate rubber bands for various everyday uses :)
Don't do that drill bit trick. You want the but to slip sometimes. If it catches in a piece of metal and it can't slip it could easily break. Or if it's a big bit in a heavy duty corded drill and the bit catches and can't slip it can hurt your wrist when it grabs.
Great tips! I already been using some of them, but many (like nuking the masking tape!) are new to me. And that fix for Apples's Achilles heal (the shonky Lightning cable) is brilliant. Thanks!
Some of the hacks would have benefitted from an explanation as to what you were using. Like for example on where you poured some liquid into a hole with a syringe but didn't explain what that liquid was, etc etc.
There are a few great Ideas. Then there are some that I haven't a clue what your trying to show us. Last but not least there are some you should of thought out better. Thanks for sharing your helpful hints.
I like the video content, but the audio content could be further in the background. I use my mute button, this is just my feedback. Keep up the good work.
Not bad. If you spend any time creating some contraption to contain oil when drilling a hole in a piece of metal that you could just wipe off afterward, other men in the shop will slap you.
Great ideas shi**y background - annoying -aggravating-breaking -concentration- noise. You really should develop some new idea to deal with the twat/twet/twit/ twot/twut, of a deejay who is making that hideous noise ( and hand he/ she or it over to the babylon for being under the influence of "kryptonite- skunk"". But you have passed on some very good ideas. Thanks.
Great video thanks for sharing ❤

OK good, I was worried that I was the only one who didn't know what the hell was going on there.

@@la1562 OK, I think they're showing that it allows you to anchor a bolt in a block, with the spring serving as an expansion sleeve. I think...
The sliced-in-half nuts for restoring damaged threads shown at 6:08 is something I had never heard of --- wow! Genius!
It doesn't work very well because the nut isn't harder than the screw.
@@e-curb Ahhhhh okay; thanks for telling me. Well, maybe it would work better if you used a grade 8 nut.

My family has always cut up rubber gloves for elastic bands. Loved the fluffy tan kitten peeking in at the bottom of the frame at 3:59. :D
Do they not have elastic bands where you come from?

Tip #1 put tape on one side of the closed end wrench instead of your finger...
Plenty of useful ideas among all those wizzwass from Russia
Okay, these are all great tricks, but that sponge in the hole saw for coolant/dust control is genius.
Great! Too many useful info! Thank you

Yeah what the hell was that for?
since it was for cutting tile, I would imagine that was some sort of lubricant.
You know, so the tile wouldn't chip out..
Thanks.👍🇬🇧
