About 10 miles from downtown PHX. NM Brewery has a fun twist: great brewpub food with some Filipino men items. Cheers!

👋 HI JAY ! oh cool ya finally did it ! - mav riding down the flightline i believe it was at NAS MIRAMAR - it was right off the freeway - banker's hill - looks like the skid marks might still be there - they did several takes - yeah that's right it was near the airport where she left mav cuz he was full of himself having ice water - the volleyball scene was near the barracks not near the theatre and pool across from the then navy exchange but closer to where the bowling alley is - i should know i was there that day and they left the sand pit there after they were done filming 👍

After watching Top Gun Maverick a couple of times, going to all these places you've showed us, is now on my bucket list! The first movie mentions Miramar, the second movie mentions North Island. Could you describe North Island?
North Island is just over the bridge from downtown San Diego. I went to an “A” School on North Island before I got dropped from the “A” school, the Navy aircraft carrier that I was supposed to go to was the Midway. Top Gun 2 was mostly filmed on North Island.

I was born and raised in San diego and could never sit through Top Gun lol it was too boring. I don't get the hype about it, is it only because it was filmed in San diego? or is it that the movie is so good?? I'm confused lol
Jaycation, what is the reason why Maverick’s love interest, Kelly McGillis, ended up horribly obese and in a similar body type of Kathy Bates from that movie Misery? I saw a movie of hers on the LMN network and Tom Cruise must be cringing if they were romantic on set!!

Liberty Station was the recent closed Naval Training Station back then. Several other film locations were at NAS Miramar.

I live 15 minutes from the beach in Oceanside and really cool seeing the Top Gun house across from the pier. 😍
