    Hello! I really enjoyed today's tip as I was preparing for interviews and needed guidance.
    I was about to take a nap😴, but your video popped up on RUclips. It motivated me to get up and head to my study table. I took notes📓 on all the small points you mentioned and there I wrote 8 points😄. Now, I'm ready to tackle those interview questions!
    Here the some questions interviewer asked me -
    1.Can you describe your experience as a UI/UX designer?
    2. What motivated you to pursue a career in UI/UX design?
    3. Can you explain the purpose of usability testing and how you conduct it?
    4. How do you collaborate with developers, product managers and other team members during a design project?
    5. How do you approach a new design project from start to finish?
    6. What UI/UX design tools and software are you proficient in?.
    7. Can you explain the importance of user personas and user journeys in your design process?
    8. What tools and techniques do you use for wireframing and prototyping?
    9. How do you ensure that your designs are user-centered and accessible to a diverse audience?
    Thank you.

      Glad to hear that, I’ll take one question out of these, for design process I have answered in another comment.
      Can you explain the purpose of usability?
      The purpose of usability to get early feedback on your design or product so that you are able to make informed decisions based on the feedback.
      For a live product, usability also gives us qualitative feedback on what are the pain points of the user which may not have been apparent through analytics.
      Hope this helps.

    A frequent question I have been asked is, what is your design process?

    • @ujjwalxdesign
      @ujjwalxdesign  4 месяца назад +4

      I think the best answer to this question is always contextual, your design process should depend on the project you are working on and the timelines you are given. According to that you decide what process do you want to follow.
      Emphasise on understanding and validating the problem statement, making multiple iterations and testing design directions.

    Thank you Ujjwal. That was really informative. And I do have a question for you. Basically I'm an engineering graduate looking for a change in career. I tried out various proffesions and I genuinely felt that UX is the career for me. Now the question is how do I get shortlisted? I am confident that I can clear interviews, but its really very hard to get one single interview. What is you suggestionn for me?

      I have made a couple of videos around this, you can check them out on my channel, about how to land interviews and what not to have in your portfolio, that should help.

    can the projects in the portfolio be dummy or redesigned projects?

    • @ujjwalxdesign
      @ujjwalxdesign  3 месяца назад

      They can be either, depending on your experience, if you are early on in your career it’s great to have some challenging dummy projects. Just be prepared to answer all the questions related to that project. You can also practice dummy presentations for those projects to help set yourself better.

      i did not understand what you meant the word "dummy" did you mean copied

      @@ge4391 which isn’t for an org, you just give yourself a problem statement to solve.

    As i am fresher i may not having experience in real time project but interviewer ask me explain your project how you started and what are problem you faced , which design process do you used ? how can i answer

    • @ujjwalxdesign
      @ujjwalxdesign  3 месяца назад

      As a fresher the recruiter (if it’s a solid recruiter) will not expect you to have these answers, but they will test you how you try to answer these questions through logic and how honest you are about them.
      The best way to answer such questions is always to address the fact that “you currently don’t have any past experience solving it, however if you were to solve this is how you would approach”
      Also to have these answers prepared, watch other designers talk about it.
