I just got a pair of AirPod Max . I love it. I can’t stop using it since I got them. I planned to get one when the V2 comes out but my Sony XM4 left hinge decided to break by itself. I didn’t even dropped them. I just picked up from my bed and then the left hinge broken by itself. I have some research on this issue, surprisingly its well known problem with Sony xm4. So no more plastic from Sony. I contacted with Sony and they have to replace a whole set of the headband which is about 100$ +. It’s a shame that the headphones still working but I can’t use them now. However, the AirPods Max is amazing. It blows me away with Netflix n movies. So I bought Apple TV to use with my TV and now I can’t wait to watch series or movies every evening 😂🍿

I’m looking forward to the AirPods Max 2. Now I bought the Bose quiet comfort ultra. I don’t want to buy the old AirPods Max because I think they are outdated. Do you think that Bose is the right purchase for an apple power user as me, with many apple device around me ? Or do I have to buys the old AIRPODS MAX (and return back Bose) because I’m an apple power user ? Or do I have to wait the APM MAX 2, while keeping the Bose now ? What do you think I should do ? I need a pair of over ear earphones right now, I can’t wait and I don’t know what to do hahaha
I’m hearing impaired & the biggest challenge for me is vocal clarity in movies & TV shows but not with these!! Anything I see now on 🍏 tv with Dolby Atmos gets a play and they haven’t let me down. In fact anything 5.1 or higher with spatial audio is Crystal clear… Also David I have longer hair and as you know sometimes it just has to get dirty so I bought an extra pair of muffs (non proprietary) cheap so I can wash the originals gently in the sink Apparently it’s ok as long as they’re (obviously) perfectly dry which takes around 24-48hrs so that’s good Agree with all the points made by you & Alex, they sound really good to me so they must be amazing for those with normal hearing. Haven’t hooked them up to my old amp yet which brings me to my only complaint… The price of that Audio cable though!!

Overpriced, possibly, but the quality of audio they deliver is amazing. I love the fact they are not over processed either. The sound they give is quite natural, which I like. After what you and Alex have said, I am going to spend more time with Atmos, and Spatial over the next few days and weeks. Great idea to buy an extra pair of cups too. Beyerdynamic could learn a thing or two about how easily they come off. Yeah...don't think I'll be buying that audio cable anytime soon......🎧
An excellent review David. I bought the AirPods Max when they first came out. I had more money than I had sense back then too lol. I do still enjoy them for there convenience and they do sound pretty good for non-critical listening. I still prefer my Beyerdynamic DT-700s.
No they are not worth it. They fail and Apple will stiff you. Read on. My AirPods Max have COMPLETELY failed and no longer produce any audio. They are 1.5 years old. Out of the aptly called “limited” warranty. I have spent the better part of a day dealing with Apple senior Product managers via chat and phone calls. They will not repair or replace. They will “arrange,” for repair or replacement which is code for you will pay for it, as it’s out of warranty. They are deceitful in how they offer this. This product promoted as an expensive and premium audiophile investment is nothing but trash that will fail and I suspect for the very reason described in this video, internal moisture production and ingress. Apple will not stand behind this piece of expensive crap. They keep on going on about how you should buy extended warranty - it’s my fault for not doing so. You should be more aware when you buy. Well Apple, here’s my reply. I’m going to make sure everyone I know or any platform I can announce that the Maxs are crap. DO NOT BUY THEM. $500+ fail. RETURN THEM ASAP! If you can. Shame on you Apple!

I love my AirPods Max. I used to wear them for 7.5 hours a day with my old job. They are so comfortable and easily paid for themselves
