Great video with some actionable advice. I'm currently taking GA 6515 and this is helping me to change up my priorities within the class.
I appreciate you sharing your experience, Edson -- it's generous of you to make this video for us; thank you. 🙏
I am glad you enjoy this video. Good luck with GA, it's definitely worth it.
Good advice. 👍
Glad you think so!
I like your videos a lot Edson. I'm also a new student admitted to Fall 2023 and I chose CS 6035: Introduction to Information Security in my 1st semester. I can find you in the directory and wanted to connect with you for some advice and tips. Would really appreciate it if you could guide me? Shall I send you a test email and block some time to connect with you?
Thanks for the warm comments. I am glad that I am having a positive impact. Congratulation on being accepted, this might be one of the most rewarding experience. You get to learn many topics. I am having a lot of fun and lot of frustrations some other time. It's a challenge for me to meet synchronously because of my the amount of thing I am doing, but I am always very responsive via email. Feel free to email anytime you might have or any questions and I would promptly reply. My email is easy to find. I am scared to post it here so that bots does not start spamming me. however, it should be in the about me. Good luck with everything.
Just got admitted to GT OMSCS and still considering whether I am going to go there or go somewhere else because I keep hearing all these horror stories about people getting Cs and Fs in classes etc. I appreciate your honesty. I takes cojones to put yourself out there and say, " I got a C dammit, so what, I'm going to take the class again, and here's what you need to know to succeed in it." Keep the videos coming. I'll be watching.
honestly, I don't think you should be scared because of what you have heard. Maybe you only hear from a very small subset of students. The program in itself is not difficult like you might have heard. I am about to graduate and in a distant future, no one would not remember the grade you got for a specific class. The hard part is balancing personal life with classes. There is only 24hr in a day. You sleep for 8 hours and go to work for 8 hours. Commute might be 1 hr; so you only left with 7 hours per day. Some classes, you have to to use 2 of those hours 7 every day and some other classes require less hours. The hard part is balancing the time you have; but the program itself is not that hard. Hope that make sense.
Good
Thanks
Can you share what courses you took for graduation
I retook the same course because it's required for me to graduate. My specialization was computing systems and without that class, I would not have been able to graduate.
