I want a life is strange dlc for Nathan because I feel bad for his character a little. If only there were better influences in his life, maybe he could’ve been a character we all liked. That being said, I also kind of want to see a dlc for Mr.Jefferson. I want to more from his character and understand what was going through his mind. I feel this series needs to flesh out these underdeveloped characters more so we can get a better feel for them.

This is one of many things i love about "Before the Storm". Even though these moments don't take away from Nathan's actions in the main game and what he turns into, it's nice to see another side to him. He's still responsible for everything he does and becomes, but to see him acting so kindly and what its like with his father (who we see for the first time!) feels kind of revealing. And his relationship with Samantha is so gentle! Nathan is incredibly popular, but Chloe's right: it feels like nobody, not even Victoria, genuinely cares for Nathan as much as she does.
I'm not a mr or ms Mirror monsters aren’t born, they are created. nathan was the way he was because of the neglect and pressure he received from his father, and most likely his mother as well. and when jefferson came into the picture, that only deteriorated his mentally even more.

Is it just an alternate universe (one of the MANY MANY timelines, possibly one that max created when fucking with shit trying to escape the dark room) we'll likely never know, especially if the new LIS is new characters though captain spirit does reference jefferson you can find a book of his on a shelf that also makes the last scene a bit more ominous (going back to the pervy book thing) he wants to photograph her.. it may be innocent and have to do with his affection, or it could be something darker. Regardless nathan is one of my favorite characters, and thats part of the reason. Most people feel bad for him, but at the same time you fucken hate the guy cause of all the shit he did but its hard to blame him too.

I’d say its simply because lis bts was released after lis 1. If it was the other way around, I’d imagine our choices with nathan would carry over to lis 1 and he’d maybe be less of a dick.
being the theatre kid i am, i could tell nathan clearly had a passion for what he was doing on stage. most peers I've met in drama don't try and get put in there for no reason and i feel like in the first game he would seem like that kind of kid but i truly see a heart for acting in him and he did a fantastic job!
She kinda is in a way, in the embodiment of Max. Chloe did say that Sam was a lot like Max in a way. Unfortunately, the story for LIS is semi-linear and Nathan was already in it way to deep so we couldn't put him back into the right path as Max before shit went down
The fact that Samantha's name wasn't in one of the binders in The Dark Room suggests that she wasn't one of Jefferson's victims. so my guess would be, the Good Ending isn't really the canon. Because if u did it not as perfect, at the end of Episode 3, Samantha would leave the tree before Nathan could even sit on the tree, leaving him heartbroken.

The greatest thing about these games is that nothing in regards to choices is canon so theories and headcanons can be just as accurate, unless stated otherwise in game… Nik Shriner has teased that Nathan “likes” a lot of the characters he bullies in the og game for comic relief, but there has been loads of times on lives and tweets with fans where he’s genuinely believes that Nathan likes her; hex why he took the photo depending on previous choices and that he really tries to take out Warren because of their “mutual attraction when Max could care less” - his actual words lmao. It makes a little more sense in a way to why Nathan was so hyper focused on Max beyond just “keeping an eye on her”. I am curious though, which podcast was Nik on that you are referring to? :)

Damn this is why I was hesitant about playing Before the Storm. Don't get me wrong, I loved playing it, it's just that it's so hard to imagine that none of my choices matter in the future, and LiS1 still ends up happening. Also, a lot of people seem to REALLY hate Nathan Prescott, and I mean REALLY hate. I mean his actions were definitely inexcusable in LiS1, but he's been through a lot. And as this shows, deep down, he's a nice kid, he just needs help. Everyone seems to put Chloe on a pedestal but she's kind of an asshole too sometimes, especially towards David and her mom. I always liked David, and when I played BtS, I was nice to David during the chances that I got. I think Nathan is a well developed complex multi-dimensional character that deserved way more than what he got at the end of LiS1. If your decisions in BtS affected LiS1 (one can dream), I think it would have been cool to have Nathan be not so much of a dick (still a dick, just not as much) if he got help from Samantha in BtS.
I don't really get the point of this storyline to be honnest ... What's the point into make this "relation" happen when in the end he'll still kill Rachel and we don't even know what happens to Samantha .... They're perfect for each other, although Nathan's various undiagnosed mental disorders are what made him so unstable and ultimately a killer used by Jefferson. I just hope Samantha wasn't one of his victims and I feel pretty bad for him too considering his family never cared about him for the exception of his sister. 😢

That would explain why Nathan is so intense and so revolted around everything and why Samantha isn't in the game.

Damn this is why I was hesitant about playing Before the Storm. Don't get me wrong, I loved playing it, it's just that it's so hard to imagine that none of my choices matter in the future, and LiS1 still ends up happening.
Also, a lot of people seem to REALLY hate Nathan Prescott, and I mean REALLY hate. I mean his actions were definitely inexcusable in LiS1, but he's been through a lot. And as this shows, deep down, he's a nice kid, he just needs help. Everyone seems to put Chloe on a pedestal but she's kind of an asshole too sometimes, especially towards David and her mom. I always liked David, and when I played BtS, I was nice to David during the chances that I got.
I think Nathan is a well developed complex multi-dimensional character that deserved way more than what he got at the end of LiS1. If your decisions in BtS affected LiS1 (one can dream), I think it would have been cool to have Nathan be not so much of a dick (still a dick, just not as much) if he got help from Samantha in BtS.
He's still the reason Chloe and Rachel both die so that's weird 😅
I don't really get the point of this storyline to be honnest ... What's the point into make this "relation" happen when in the end he'll still kill Rachel and we don't even know what happens to Samantha .... At least they showed us that Elliot leaved but does Sam just disappear from the town ?

They're perfect for each other, although Nathan's various undiagnosed mental disorders are what made him so unstable and ultimately a killer used by Jefferson. I just hope Samantha wasn't one of his victims and I feel pretty bad for him too considering his family never cared about him for the exception of his sister. 😢

XD I remember HassanAlHajry in comparison did a lot of the nice guy choices but that dude seems to be more genuine anti-hero in his playthroughs. :p
