I absolutely agree with everything you said. If a guy wants to buy a night vision/ thermal scope and you pick one that you like, wait and save money for another 6-12 months and buy the model above it. Because if you buy the first one that you picked and see how good it works chances are you'll want to upgrade to the model above the one you actually bought and then you'll be pissed that you wasted money on the first one. That's been my experience with things I've bought in the past anyways. I know you guys wouldn't want to or need to but if you ever get the opportunity somehow if you could do a review of the new Burris clip-on thermal that would be awesome. Do you ever get a stray wolf around your parts and do you shut the cameras off and remedy the problem? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I run in the cold a lot in MN and WI. Are there any thermals you have found that do better in those conditions? It's always a battle. I normally put handwarmers in a neopreme case to keep batteries running longer.
This is just my opinion/mindset, I don’t look at what’s affordable. I look at what will allow me more time to grow into gear/equipment instead of looking for something I know I’ll grow out of. Money and space is tight for me, so why focus on replacing something I’ll out grow from a skill perspective every year or 2.
I judge range at night with my nods and my vortex rangefinder. I light up the target with the rangefinder laser and I peer into my viewfinder to see the distance.
I have a super hogster but I was thinking of moving to a RL42 because of the 4x magnification but I’m wondering how much better the RH50 is over the RL42.
Always great to watch you guys
Great podcast! Keep them coming!
Will you do an ep that shows a tour of your guns and reloading equipment. Great show gents
Absolutely, I'll do a RUclips video on it!

This is why I use the onyx hunt app. It helps to know where your going to set and land marks from there. And a flat shooting rifle.
have you guys ever tried using a coti/ecoti on your pvs14 or duals? curious how useful they are compared to a dedicated thermal monocular like a MH25
Might be close to a year late, but spawn camping, was the words you were looking for.

With night vision you can use a normal range finder and see the dot.
The best!? It's whatever you can't afford! LOL
Bolt rifles for the win.
Trijicon mk3 vs LWTS LR? Image wise
