[MAJOR SPOILERS] Why's it called 'Repentance' anyway?

It was called Afterbirth because it took place after Isaac's birth. Why'd they have to make this all so complicated?

Trust me, it'll be worth the wait. Repentance is an absolute game changer with all of the new features, polish and tweaks it brings that massively improve the experience. 10/10 DLC, no doubt
Four Souls is a pretty great way to pass the time until then tho. That game is rad :)
