Mower won’t move? Towing or Pushing a busted mower/ Hydrostatic riding mower or Zero Turn

  • If your riding mower or zero turn mower needs to be towed, you will have to do this simple trick to disengage the drive units so you can push or tow it. My Husqvarna Z254F recently had a belt issue and had to be towed, so the first step is to disengage the hydrostatic units.

    Thank you for this explanation. I had to tow my mower and it was putting up a fight. I figured there was someone on RUclips that would help out and I was right. Thanks!

      Is there a possibility towing it without knowing this tip caused harm? It’s a 1 year old commercial grade BB Rogue used on a small farm.

      @@RickActual I'm really not sure, I'd imagine the tires would lose traction first.

    My Husqvarna zero turn 48" does not have those "rods". I'm not sure what to do next.

    What happens if you accidentally tow it across the yard without doing that?

      we've all done it. Its probably not good for the hydrostatic units, but if you didn't hear anything break, and you didn't break the beads on the tires, you're probably ok.
