Does the original axle bolt fit through the new axle sleeves?
It did
He is a mechanic
So I changed my bill and now my mower will not go into gear
when you let out the clutch is there any tension on it? It sounds like its routed wrong
Good video. Thanks!
you’re very welcome!
You cannot use that old worn out axle rod. Get a new one and also get the right tools for working on things.
Thanks for watching! The kit came with the axle sleeves (in stainless) but I didn't know the original bolt was worn through until I got it apart. Replacing it is on the list, but would be a boring video. Not everyone has a bearing press, so I had to use what was available.
Thank you so much for this video! Could you make a video on how to adjust the deck height on the Husqvarna Z54F? I have the same model as you, and I can’t seem to adjust it for anything. On the highest setting (6) the front is 2.5” off the ground, and the back is 3.5”. I’m fine with the pitch, but it just seems so close to the ground, even just 1/2” higher would be nice.
sure. I just did this. basically there’s two bolts at the front that adjust the front tilt. You need to make sure your air pressure is correct and that you’re on level ground to start. The wheel bushings being worn out actually lower the front of the mower also.
@@wecanfixit7308 Thank you so much for this. I ordered the same bushings kit you used. So I’m hoping to install them tomorrow or early next week. I adjusted those two bolts on the front end of the mower (beneath the gray plastic foot rest). They adjusted that front bar that hooks into the deck. Tightening them brought the deck too far forward so that I couldn’t get the front deck lift arms over the frame pins. I also believe the rear deck lift arm bolts are as tight as they can be. So I guess it must be a leveling issue with the tires. 🤷🏼♀️ After I put the new bushings on, I’ll measure everything and figure out how to adjust from there. Thank you so much, I really can’t tell you how helpful this video was!
@@Aveeguides I’ll take another look at the leveling. My axles had eaten halfway through the bolts, so I know the front was at least a half/ three quarters of an inch lower than it should have been
Thanks for the video. I'm changing the muffler, any tips for removing the muffler screws on manifold? Still applying oil.... Rusty.
mine were allen bolts, I just used a box end wrench as a lever
Where did you buy the kit?

I wish you had shown the pic of the other end spring attack to what part?
Thanks a lot for this video man, this is exactly what I was looking for 👍
I'm very glad it helped!
Awesome!!!! My hero!! Very good explanations!!!
I’m so glad I was able to help you out!
Replaced the sensor 6 times.. just did it today.. still getting the fan turning on... ugh!!!
Did you clear the codes? If so, then you've probably got a wiring issue.
It's the thermostat mind was doing the same thing once I changed it everything went back to normal
@@jpowerhands3607 I’d definitely change them both just in case.
Thanks - very helpful.
I'm glad it helped you out!
can't see what your putting the probes on
Thank you for the video
you are very welcome
great vid , thanks for sharing and adding parts !!

Grazie Canetti
its probably the spring that keeps tension on the clutch pedal, without it in place the belt will slip and the mower won't move. It should be an easy fix
"Sto usando ChatGPT per tradurre: probabilmente è la molla che mantiene la tensione sul pedale della frizione, senza di essa la cinghia scivolerà e il trattorino non si muoverà. Dovrebbe essere una riparazione facile."
I love these videos. Five minutes ago I finally changed my Nikki carb to another brand, new fuel pump, air/and gas filters, they sent wrong spark plug so I just cleaned the one in it, new gas hose, the gas filter they sent had one whole end broken off and not even in the box but mine was fine. I just hit the switch and it cranked a few laps and started right up. Purrs like a new kitty. I am learning and I enjoy working on all my old mowers except the ones with generators to start them.
That's where mine is
There is a video that tells you to double up on that spring and never have the problem again. Or, drill and put a bolt thru that hole which will prevent the wear this guy experienced. See how the metal had stretched and pulled up? That's what cut the end of the spring!
Does the drive belt tensioner have any adjustment or is it just the spring
just the spring
Why didn't you show from start to finish ? You only showed half the video.
Thanks for the feedback, I probably should have added the rest.
@@wecanfixit7308 ..Your welcome.
So, if the thermostat is changed and the there are still issues like the cooling engine going crazy can it be possible that the water pump could leak coolant ?
it would have to be a huge noticeable leak to uncover the temp sensor enough to create this issue
happened once with 08 sequioa
I just got that same mower for free. The engine is blown so I’m gonna swap it out with a new one.
you can’t beat free, good luck with your project!
My Husqvarna zero turn 48" does not have those "rods". I'm not sure what to do next.
This is exactly what was happening to my mower. My belt was still on but was loose. Looked at tension spring and looked okay. My tensioner was stuck in loose position. Moved it over and reconnected spring and all was good. You just saved me probably $300 or more. Thanks and be safe!!!
that’s awesome!
Thanks man just found out my belt was on the wrong way. Now its circulating fine.. One question what are those round wheel things called i think the move the wheels. I see im missing on lol
thx alot
I have a Z-246. This was very helpful. Thank You.
I’m glad it helped!
Get a lock nut for the spring to loop on that’s how mine is and the spring won’t even scratch the surface
thanks!
What happens if you accidentally tow it across the yard without doing that?
we've all done it. Its probably not good for the hydrostatic units, but if you didn't hear anything break, and you didn't break the beads on the tires, you're probably ok.
You Sir, are my Hero today, this is a great contribution and solved my problem Thank you
fantastic, glad to help! Make sure your idler pulley is ok
Thank you for this, my mower had the same issue i stretched the spring with pliers and ran a thick steel hook through it to join the parts worked long enough to move the mower.
glad this helped you out!
Finally someone with an answer to why mover going so slow. Put on a new drive belt still a bit of slack. New belt was the same length as old one that was cracked and had missing pieces. Did they sell me the wrong belt.
pull back on the clutch pedal with your foot to take the slack out manually and see if it pulls better. If it does, lube that pedal pivot point up with something and maybe shorten the return spring some, or possibly replace it.
I've been dealing with this issue on my 2015 Yukon for a year and a half. I've put 5 thermostats and about 8 sensors in it, replaced the sensor plug...this thing is driving me crazy. Everytime I replace the thermostat and sensor its ok for about 2 months then starts the engine protect mode and gets more and more frequent. Tested the thermostats and they seem to work ok with the boiling water test, sensors seem to work with multimeter testing but once replaced it's only a matter of time until the issue starts. I started carrying a socket to pull the battery cable to reset the computer to buy a little more time and get the ac working again.
I’d look at replacing the plug on the sensor, sounds like you could have an issue there, or a chafe in the wire to the ECM possibly.
@@wecanfixit7308 I did replace the plug, it didn't resolve any of the issues. I'm going to start checking out all the grounds as I've seen other videos mentioning issues with them causing all types of different issues.
@@ncarlen3 grounds could certinly cause weird things. I had a random no start on mine forever that ended up being the negative battery cable. Of course I found this after cleaning every ground on the truck. Good luck!
remember to pull the battery power to kinda reset everything ask me how i know
Great point, thanks! I used a scan tool, but disconnecting the battery works also.
How did you clear the code?
I have a cheap scan tool that reads/ clears codes
Im having this issue. Just happened tonight. Mine is a 2016 and 101k miles. 😢
Its an easy fix, good luck!
So did it actually fix it?
Yes, once the code was cleared after the repair was made, everything worked as it should.
@@wecanfixit7308 can you give the part numbers you used? I’ve seen where certain parts didn’t fix the issue
@@cagneydavis3528 I linked the parts I used in the description
Hi you think it may just be the coolant temp sensor and can I run it like this till I get around to do this weekend ?
@@Kriscerros should be fine, if your battery is weak, the fans might run it down
Hi, thanks for share your experiences with us. Could you tell me the parte number, serial number or characteristics of belt? I need to change it. Thanks un advance. Regards from Argentina

Car has engine????????
Yes, it has a 3.0 6 cylinder engine
Another great video. Thanks for your time and effort explaining the issues and repairs. Most helpful 👍
Thanks, I'm glad you found it helpful!
Very informational and straight foward... You earned a sub :) Keep up the good work!
I'm glad it helped!
Could you give us the milage?
It had a major service at 121K, so the belt probably had 53K on it.
New Carb-starts on ether then stalls.....I DO NOT hear the solenoid clicking...Can you just remove it and bolt it up? Thank you for yourtime
if the solenoid isn't clicking, try tapping the bowl lightly with a screwdriver while someone turns the key off and on, sometimes that will free it. If not, maybe try taking it out and working it back and forth, or maybe swap out the one from the old carb, assuming it was good. You really need that solenoid to work, or it will backfire everytime you shut off the mower.
You were spot on!!! Easy and cheap fix. Bought three of them from Amazon. Thank you so much
fantastic, I'm glad it helped!
@sman5282 what is the part number? Thanks
