If you liked this, you should check out "Cathedrals of Mourning" by Belzebubs. The style and sound is pretty similar to Pale Morning Star. The musicians behind the Belzebubs characters (a comic strip that turned into a band) have never been officially announced, but the vocalist is almost certainly Niilo from Insomnium and possibly some of the other members are in it too. Plus the video is a lot of fun.
Yes ! Pale Morning Star is my favourite song from them and yes it is representative of their sound. When I think Melodeath, I think Insomnium. All of their catalogue is amazing to me apart from the first 2 albums that I feel are not at the same level. PLEASE do yourself a favour and listen to Winter's gate in one take. It's an album made of a 40-min song that tell the tales of Vikings. It is a fucking epic journey. Probably too long for a full reaction videos tho ^^ So for reactions I would suggest my favourite album which is One for sorrow because it feels the most melodic/emotional. So I would suggest the song with the same name. A more personal suggestion would be to listen to Decoherence/Lay the ghost to rest in one take : I fucking love the transition of the two. Otherwise, I guess everyone wil recommend While we sleep which is the one reacted to the most.
one more thing, they were touring the States with Omnium Gatherum right when the Covid broke and they just catch the last plane to Europe before the borders closed. the financial lost was huge and someone had the idea to start a fundraiser for both bands. the response was huge as metal fellows donated more than 50.000€ in less than 3 days and the messages were heart warming.they are so loved ❤

@@KL-cv3ee It's only a fraction of what I love, I need Alternative/Indie sounds to love the music and often times Atmospheric Death will not offer that. But this song has some parts that do me right :) But my knowledge of this type of music is generally really bad. So I am happy about discoveries like this :)

I think it was because Jani has such an important part on this song and they cannot understand that it is very hard for Ville to be a 100 % part of the band.
