"realistic swordfighting doesn't work for storytelling"
Akademia Szermierzy: hold my scabbard
Thanks, we tried our best:D
There is a polish film that did this but with a higher budget and actual actors, I wish I could remember the name, it was good.
@@Alexlalpaca I think the movie is Born for the Sabre or something (no idea how to write the polish title) pretty good fight too although I haven't seen the full movie
@@Alexlalpaca The deluge?
@@whatamidoingwithmylife4108 Nah, the other person was right I just didn't see it lol.
Italian Masters, Polish nobles... this castle has sure seen some peculiar duels throughout its history hahaha ;)
sure, you're pretty good with a sabre, but have you practiced LOG COMBAT????
Reminds me of this at minute 1:09
ruclips.net/video/0JQ0xnJyb0A/видео.html
What treatise do combat logs fall under?
@@gabem3251 Fiore
The Scots throw them.
Forget the quarterstaff we have the whole
300 years after being defeated by Fiore, their descendants were still plotting revenge XD
War.. war never changes..
@@akademiaszermierzy1105 But, Fallout has changed.
@@farididdinrahimov1050 Indeed...for the worse
I do like how this seemed to let you connect the story on its own, and you get to see how human the characters are when they fight, they make mistakes, they hesitate as if unsure, and heck, the dude grabbed a log and tried to defend himself, it seemed like an actual fight that you can't tell was choreographed and actually looked like they were fighting for their lives, this is awesome.
Thanks, we're doing our best :)
This might actually be the coolest fight I have ever seen
It's pleasure to hear such compliments. Thanks!
Really loved the variety of shots and angles you guys got for this one. As always the choreography was amazing. Keep up the great work.
Thanks! We try to improve with every new movie.
"It's the frost, sometimes it makes the blade stick". -Maximus Decimus Meridius
Z Rosji z wdzięcznością. Grzegorz i Antek najlepsze, co ostatnio widziałem.
Polish saber - beautiful weapon! Thanks for the great video, guys!
Thanks for your support!
Cool af. Especially the part where the guy in white hooks the saber out of his opponent's hand. That was some John Wick level stuff.
The one dislike is from some guy having a blood feud with them, I guess
There is 25 of them now. I feel next blood feud...
@@akademiaszermierzy1105 Actually, I could very well dislike the video. We were promised Slavic accent! ruclips.net/video/Ad7_O0KEurc/видео.html
Is it the start of a new serie like the Fiore one ?
I hope so.
Please yes
If they do it I'll watch them 100 times!
Goddamn that would be the day!
Red: "The frost... sometimes it makes the blade stick"
White:😲
Says the Roman general to praetorian !!
I wonder what is the potion Antek is drinking at the beginning - I bet it's Thunderbolt ;)
Zabiłłeś Sarnę Ty zbóju!
Przyjemnie się oglądało, fajnie zrealizowany materiał. Czekam na kolejne. 😃
Niesamowite, tak dobrze jest zobaczyć polską szermierkę w tak świetnym wykonaniu. Powodzenia !
I just love how you guys keep history alive. I'm reading the Deluge right now and this really brings it to life.
The Poles were amongst the best & most skilled swordsmen in all of Europe for centuries, in terms of skill, dexterity & the versatility of their different, always evolving styles. Watch that movie "Born for the Saber," as it is about the life & times of a frontier swordsman extraordinaire of Polish nobility back in the early 17th Century, featuring swordfighting duels that have been deemed as the finest, most realistic & exciting ever put to film. European Samurai!
Brawo Panowie Bracia! Świetna robota! Wzruszyłem się.
Kurcze w końcu się doczekałem nowego filmu od 3 miesięcy.
Oglądam to od tych dwóch lat co jakiś czas. Panowie podziw i szacunek za prezentowany kunszt.
3:09 If intended then: pretty cool. Far to rare in stage fighting. Please more. ^^
You mean that "faint"?
“You are using Benetti’s defense upon me, eh!?” “I thought it fitting given the grassy terrain”
"Bonetti" madame or sir. It's Bonetti. Forgive me for sounding rude. But at least you know.
Edriel Or you could just... not... be a pedantic ass 6 months after the fact. I’m aware of how his name is spelled. I deliberately spelled it phonetically as it was said in the movie.
Edriel You must be *real* fun at parties
To było wspaniałe, świetna robota!
Dziękujemy!
Always glad to see another video from this channel, you guys are great at this!
They’re back.
And we'll be back again soon.
Antoni Olbrychski's grandfatehr was one of the stars in 1977's The Deluge which has one of the best saber duels ever put to film.
Didnt know he played Kmicic!
I love how you guys can tell a story so well without any speech
Me and my cousin: *playing with sticks*
My parents : Aww their playing pirates.
Me and my cousin: *this video* also que the very awkward french accents.
Najwyższy czas na nowy odcinek! 👍
Thank you guys! Looks great.
Hell yeah. Love to see realistic sword fights like this.
Well done, guys! Loved historical duels like this!
Thanks a lot!
Glad you guys are making more videos!
Getting your blade stuck in a leather scabbard is such a mood. A very, very bad one
You guys never failed to amaze me.. wow!
We try to do our best:)
Fuaaaa~! Robi wrażenie!
Dzięki! :)
While there are a few goofy moments, this is a really excellently choreographed and fought bit of film. Good job guys.
Ребята, вы красавцы. Очень профессионально. Во всех смыслах.
Świetna robota jak zawsze
Dzięki!
Well. That's the actual correct sound of blade on blade contact. Bravo! Subbing.
Of course it is, because we recorded it :D. Thanks!
Guys, you are awesome beyond words. Thumbs up!

I am so happy to see this channel continually grow. I genuinely enjoy wathinghing every video you guys produce. It doesn't matter what the quality is. That's because to me you only produce quality content.

Ребят, просто шикарное видео. Плюсую однозначно. Привет из России.
Wonderful work! Congratulations! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks a lot!
The young man in the white undershirt has beautiful wrists. His moulinets are just gorgeous to watch. His close work was fabulous also. Well done!!
Great fight choreography. Keep up the work.
Cool! Better than 99.99% of what you see in movies.
Awesome guys, great vid.
No patrzcie państwo - akurat przedwczoraj zacząłem szukać informacji o sztuce wywijania szabelką, a dziś znajduję to.
W takim razie pozostaje tylko zaprosić na nasze treningi :)
Spectacular drama and action!
Great choreography as always !
Thanks!
As a Sabruer i must say well done. I've been waiting for you guys to do something like this. Very enjoyable.
Thank you!
Guys, you simply are amazing !
Thanks, it's pleasure to hear that!
Mistrz Sarnaaaa!
I love sabre fighting. The flow of the moves is so fluid. And it's not about running them through, but you could slice the neck.
Damn, Aolbrychski looks pretty awesome in here
Guys, your every video is a pure art. Warm greetings from Russia and thank you so much for this work
Great! I realy enjoyed this video :). Good job!
Дякую! Гарний двобій!
Poland is a beautiful country. These videos are epic. Cool short film!

Z Panem Bogiem.
Would love to see more!
This Hellish Quart update looks awesome XD
Your sword decides to get stuck in scabbard right when an enemy is rushing you, Murphy is laughing his ass off.
Antek cut his hair : it looks good on him. Good-looking video, great work !
Thanks:P
dzieki za video panowie
naprawdę zajebiste rzeczy robicie panowie
Wielkie dzięki!
Congratulations to you for your beautiful duel. The winged hussars live forever 💪🏻. Love from France.
Well, I did not understand the plot (if someone explains i'll be glad), but what i DID understand is the magnifisence of the cinematography and battle choreography in this short movie! Another masterpiece from you good sirs!
Amusing... I was just writting an explanation of the plot (or what I think is the plot) as you were writting your comment :-D
you can find it answering to a previous comment by Dany Crenshew
I love this!!! And i would like to watch more sabre videos 😁
Greetings from Romania!
Greetings from Poland. We will consider more saber videos:)
Great work as usual :)
Thanks a lot!
I Just can say, BEAUTIFUL
Thank you!
Excellent !
Excellent video! Please make more!
Sure we will :D Thanks!
Solid video!
Great job & video
These videos are great super underrated channel.
What a pity, your channel has not many videos. I can imagine it takes some time especially since you have such high quality videos. Please do not stop, thx.
Maybe they upload more on Patreon
Beautiful as expected, I think this is a great depiction of what an entertaining yet realistic "untrained" duel could look like. Also love the use of the tobacco pipe, looks cool and lets us date this to the early modern period. And I'm sure Fiore would've loved the log. ;)
Thanks!
Wow, I know very little of sword fighting, and I was impressed with many of the movements and also with those curved blades. Looks very dangerous to choreograph something like that with real weapons.
They did use steel weapons but for safety they're blunt.
"I admit it, you are a better than I am"
"Then why are you smiling?"
"Because I know something you don't know"
Beautiful fight
Klasa mistrzowska .
The disarm at 3.34 was impressive
Luv it!
Nice job, guys!
Sensacional 🐲
Very well done 👏👏
Just amazing 😶
