    Before the repotting, it looks like the whomping willow in Harry Potter. Love it.

    I love the look of the old pot and would like to see if I could get something like it. Does it have a style name that I can use to google search for it on the internet?

    Is there a way to get my wisteria seedlings to flower sooner than 15 years

    I don’t understand. Why did the previous owner cut off the previous top? It was so beautiful the way it was. I mean it still looks like it will be beautiful but I don’t understand what happened to it? Also how much does it cost to purchase a bonsai like this?

    • @jeffsbonsai7725

      The previous owner went on holidays and the tree was not watered enough and the hole of top of the tree died.

    Almost done with winter here in Florida. My wisteria has no leaves since I left it outside without protection when we some freezing temp. How will i check if it will come back? thanks for sharing

    • @jeffsbonsai7725
      @jeffsbonsai7725  2 года назад +2

      Flowers come first before the leaves,if you scratch the bark and it shows some green cambium it’s still alive.I don’t think the cold will worry your wisteria.

      Wisterias are deciduous they drop there leaves in autumn then the flowers come out in spring,then the leaves come out.

      @@jeffsbonsai7725 oh sorry I meant to ask will it flower this year because of the severe root pruning or does it 'skip' flowering when stressed?

    • @jeffsbonsai7725
      @jeffsbonsai7725  2 года назад +2

      No it didn’t miss flowering because it was done in winter.

      @jeffsbonsai7725  Год назад +1

      If you are going to graft try the start of spring when the tree will be growing strong. Good luck

    So by putting wires near the wisteria, does that attract the wisteria to climb up them and make the shape?

    • @jeffsbonsai7725
      @jeffsbonsai7725  2 года назад +1

      No I wire the branches and gently bend the branch to the position I want the branch to be.

    Can you tell me when is the best time to prune the roots of my wisteria for its first bonsai pot?

    • @jeffsbonsai7725
      @jeffsbonsai7725  2 года назад +2

      The best time is before the buds open, if you are in Australia you can do them now.I do all my deciduous trees in the last few weeks of winter,unless the buds start to swell then I do them straight away.

    Does anyone know what mix works for wisteria?

    • @jeffsbonsai7725
      @jeffsbonsai7725  2 года назад

      I use the same mix for all my trees it’s a club mix that our club buys. If it’s a pine,azalea, fig or any native they all go in the mix.
