My Dad had an Austin 7 in the 1940's after the war, wonderful little car, he used to lift the engine out and renew the piston rings and reseat the valves, he was an engineer so new what he was doing. We checked it out up the 1 in 4 Porlock Hill. That one in your film at 1:24 is really taking a hammering.
Occasionally as a kid i would see a child smashing an expensive well made toy to bits, with great enthusiasm. A new toy would often magically appear a week later. I suppose i'm lucky i can enjoy things without kicking the shit out of them..
So... you suffer from envy and arrogance. My first question is, how is driving a car thru mud "smashing it to bits"? If you understood anything about this event and these people you'd know how well loved their cars are. These cars are also all around 90 years old and still running strong. The only thing bordering on abuse in the vid is the woman driving the chummy with the bumble bee bonnet to overheating. Not ideal, but she stopped before any damage happened. You come across as an envious prat who's either too cheap or lazy to engage in something like this... and all you can do is smugly attack others. That or you're the type who keeps every toy he ever got in the package so nothing "happens" to it. I'm sure they all still look grand.... and you never played with or enjoyed them one time in your entire life.
No better way to give an old vintage car a beating before it goes to the scrap yard! But what about the state of those occupants bouncing up and down crushing their lumbar discs! There's a good source for Chiropractors custom there!
