I played with Buddy tonight in Mckinney, Tx in downtown at Cadillac Pizza. One of the most humble and excellent guitar players you'll ever come across. As a guitar player, trading off guitar solo's with him was incredible. At the end of the night, he got up with the house band and sang/played "What is and what should never be" by Led Zeppelin and it was absolutely incredible. This guy is one of kind. Got a picture with him to. Such an excellent musician.
I can't stop watching this video either. This is much better that Delbert Mc Clinton's original, without all the brass and fanfare. Buddy is one true real great guitar player. Hat's off, man. Thanks for posting this, Richeray.
Effortless superb playing, and if that isn't enough Buddy can sing very well too. A great inspiration for myself and for any other blues player. I must try and see this fabulous guitarist playing live somewhere. Thank you for this video.
Yes !! A new talent is born. Keep 'em coming Buddy. Thanks for the Homage to Stevie on your debut record. RIP SRV. We miss you. Thanks for posting. Dan
Standin on shakey ground, Delbert McClinton song, Buddy does this great, I am off to see him tonight, known him for years, great guy and must be up there with the greats, i am on his guest list tonight, GO SEE HIM.
This guy rocks I saw it live in my country so many years ago playing with John Mayall, When he played with one strat and one les paul he sounded like Steve Ray and Gary Moore he is great!
@santiagobesasso ...I know! This guy is one of the most unknown players that deserve to be know. He's smokes most of the cats that do what he does and are famous. He doesn't use ANY pedals (other than a tuner)....and the guy doesn't just play his same (worked out trademark) licks over and over again. Man, he just a FINE player!
Awesome, gave me a big grin all the way through the song! And that was before I even knew they would throw in one of my all time favoourites (Tower of Power's "What is hip") at he end - thanks for posting this!
@lpdog Start with Buddy's Bluesbreaker Debut "Spinning Coin" and the followup "Blues for the Lost Days". Then follow that up with watching him on John Mayall's 70th Birthday Concert DVD. If you can score his latest solo CD "A Bag Full of Blues" the playing will drive you wild...
Check Buddy out on John Mayhall's 70th birthday celebration, he melts it. He make EC's ass draw up, I promise! I saw him in Dallas when I went to see Robben Ford who was on the bill with Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. He just about stole it.

I was privileged to play with Buddy last night. It's an inspirational experience. I believe everyone plays better around him!
Josh Ferrell. Yeah.. and the right singing too. Damn in time, hein? That guy is not joking.

Shaky Ground is an old Temptations tune, released as a single in 1975. Also included on an album that I can't recall the name of at the moment.
