- here's what we get on a normal Tuesday to bring home to our animals! it still amazes me every week what we get for free and some people pay us to come get their scrap fruit and veggies so they don't haul it off. offset your feed costs ask around make cold calls to bakeries and food banks and say you can make regular pick ups and offer to provide bins or buckets to them for the produce! don't give up keep trying we constantly have to find new sources of feed so keep on keeping on thanks for watching

This is a great use for excess food. No waste and it's great for the farmers to have the free food

I used to LOVE to be able to feed my chickens the remnants of really classy catering. Watched them eat an entire aluminum tray of cheese and lump crabmeat. Croissants for days. If they didn't have to clean up, they were NOT going to ask any questions! Those chickens ate much better than I did sometimes....but I got the eggs! Waste not, want not.

The food in your trailer could use some to make bread crumbs, some to freeze.,for the potatoes eat what you can & plant the rest.

Do you have a root cellar? It will preserve your potatoes, carrots, turnips and parsnips, etc.

I would say half the food produced or shipped here to our country goes bad and goes to the dump yet we have people starving here and where the produce came from in other countries I know...

Yes for sure past expiration date and deemed extra. The place we pick the bread up provides bread and other foods to many many food banks
