I had the same situation with an Ai volt 4300 Watt Inverter Generator purchased thru Amazon. It ran flawlessly after the recommended breakend. Went camping, ran all day the first day, while running the second day it died and hasn't run since. Point being, I contacted Amazon and received the same customer service you did. Amazon refunded the full price and told me to keep the generator or dispose of it. Not to be an advocate of Amazon, but they have a new level of respect from me. Thank you for your very informative video.

Got mine from Amazon in June and had same issue. Once I put a full tank of gas in it fixed problem. Runs great ever since.
Also box was like yours.
Full tank or not, it wasn't happy. It would run smooth for a bit, then would get rough assuming some of the foreign debris in the carb got pulled up again. After cleaning the carb, its a smooth running machine as you saw. Thanks for the comment and the watch! :)
I got mine 2 weeks ago for $599 too.
Pretty pleased with it so far. I had no problems with mine.

Had a similar problem after using it for awhile. Spark arrestor was plugged. Very simple fix.
This unit was brand new, so no chance the spark arrestor was plugged. After disassembling the carb, there was some type of debris in there causing the problems.
Funny, I received the same generator this week and it wouldn't stop surging upon initial startup. Troubleshooted for 2 hours and couldn't figure it out. Started a return through Amazon and they just refunded my money and said don't worry about returning it. Called WEN and they said it was most likely a lose connection between the stepper motor on top of the carb and the inverter. Checked and that cable was never plugged in from the factory and immediately ran perfect after that. Seems like their QC control is costing them a lot of money.

same happen to me with a router wasnt working they gave me my money back they never sent me the return lable so i kept it and fixed it lol
oh and by the way most of us have the wen xi4000wat wich is duel fuel and we always used the pro pane! never gas
less problems with storing smell an gumed up carbs.

Are you sure your AC is 15k?
Yes, 100% certain. The build sheet lists a 15k BTU AC as well as it has 15k BTU plastered all over the internals, under the facial in side.
Yeah that generator will not start that rooftop untit on eco mode without soft start.
