How to program a garage door opener built into your vehicle. The model I am showing this on is a Ford F150, but it should be the same process on any vehicle with a Homelink system.

Thank you! Nice simple instructions. I was confused by the manual and several attempts, and this tutorial quickly cleared the confusion from my mind and got my 2017 Jeep Cherokee happily chatting with my new Genie garage door opener via HomeLink.
Don't do the first step (1 and 3 button) if you already have buttons currently programmed to other garage doors. If you do then you are resetting/clearing all the buttons.
That’s all well and good but will your original opener that came with the garage door still work because I can’t get one to work without erasing the code from the other car
@@bradysgaragedoors lucky you I tried for over an hour to program two Lincolns and when I program the second one it erases the first one I’m wondering if the system is too old and is a fixed code system, I have to take the remote apart to look. Thanks 😊

Is there a way to do this without the original garage door remote? My wife and I can’t find either of ours at the moment.
