Thanks for the great First Look Video! ❤
Of course 🙏
Hey awesome 1st review bro!!! That trash and stuff pocket looks clutch.
Great Review!! Can’t wait tell mine comes in.
Hope you enjoy it!
Still loving the Pack? Specifically the shoulder straps?
Ive been a zpacks guy since 2016 pretty much only because they were the lightest option. But the shoulder straps have been getting smaller and smaller in width on each new pack I've got from them.
Thinking its time to go with a new company.
Happy Hiking, beep beep
Thanks for the review! Looks like a pretty sweet pack. Question: how wide is the front mesh pocket? Can you please measure it for me? Is the mesh rather stiff or easy to stretch? Thank you!
Thanks! The pocket is a bit over 10 inches wide, and it's stiffer than most outer pocket material but still quite easy to get into and feel around for whatever you've got stuffed in there. I use my outer pocket a lot and I found it easy to get things in and out of.
A little over 10 inches will almost always be the answer. Palante, Dandee, Yar, Waymark etc etc. Almost invariably 11 inches wide.
Seems like a sweet bag.
I'm really into it
@@hikingcoyote8169 You sleep inside it?
This good
Nice review! Good licking pack. Great channel. New follower here. Crow✌️
Thanks for your time and following along Crow! 🙏
How much did it weigh when you loaded it for 4 or 5 days?
I was out for 3 days but I loaded around 4 days of food and gear, and I can't say what it weighed exactly. I'm not familiar with my base weight either! Next time I load er up I'll check and get back to you 👍
Hey look it’s me @6:35
Also, l thought the brass clip was pretty sexy as well
It looks like a good pack but the mesh on the bottom is the reason I just bought a Waymark Ultra pack.
I don’t think the mesh will last long and storing trash in my pack will just leave a scent and the critters will have a field day.
And being a new pack on the block i’ll wait for some long term reviews and then possibly buy one.
Other than that i really wanted to get a Ranger.
Good review though!
Thanks for watching 🙏! Fair enough! This was just my first impression/first look, so time will tell the rest! I've never had issues with critters by using my outer fanny pocket as a trash pocket but a lot of my trash is licked clean when it goes in 👍. I appreciate the feedback amigo.
I think the critters vs bottom-pocket-trash-scent is a bit of an urban myth. Over the past 6 years or so, since Palant’e popularized the bottom pocket, 1000s of hikers have used this feature with no problems.
@@dcaudwell good to know thank you.
Nice review!
Thank you and thanks for watching 🙏
How many litres is the Ranger? Evolved does not say.
Check "specs" under the product.
Everytime I see the bottom mesh. I just think palante started that
When I was in high school I had a Jansport hiking/running backpack that had a bottom pocket that's almost the exact thing.
looks just like the waymark pack. It wouldn't surprise me if this is a white label deal between waymark and evolved.
I'm not sure what you mean by "the waymark pack" but seeing as how the brain behind one of their packs and this company is in fact the same brain, this pack has a few ideas in common. However that doesn't instantly tether those two companies together, and believe me they are anything but that
However reddit has a great sub for conspiracy you could get this thread going on! Cheers. Thanks for watching
@@hikingcoyote8169 waymark is an company that makes ultra light backpacks that look "very" similar to this design. Darwin used to swear by it. If I'm right I wouldn't call it a conspiracy, it's just business. There are plenty of products with different brand names that are made in the same factories and designed by the same folks.
@@Kevinschart yes I'm familiar with Waymark, they make different kind of packs one of which Darwin helped design. He didn't just swear by it, he collaborated and designed a backpack with them. But they're no longer affiliated with each other and now Darwin has developed his own gear company which makes this backpack. So we could draw similarities amongst almost every company and the brain behind the gear, but that doesn't initiate a white label deal? Regardless, this is just a gear review about a backpack. This video has nothing to do with either company, business relations, or Darwin himself.
Hey Kevin! We are not affiliated with that company in any way. We produce our own packs here in the US. Our products are designed and developed in our own shop based out of Florida and manufactured in Colorado. Thanks!
THanks for the review, but Darwin sucks.
Thanks for watching! I hope you find a better place to express your personal feelings than on a RUclips video about a backpack 👍
@@hikingcoyote8169 As opposed to my non personal feelings?
@@CharmingGecko actually they would be your impersonal feelings.
@@wanttogo1958 I don’t, and It’s more than likely no one else know what you mean by that.
@@CharmingGecko if you know the English language then you know that what you referred to as non personal comments are correctly described as and called impersonal comments. Look it up.
